Why are you using the JO/JA large shield model instead of the JK shield?

I think there's more polies in a couple of those models than there is in any portion of the origina JK levels >.>

the binoculars look really JOish. the rest are pretty neat though

Odd that you choose to model after some items in JO/JA. How come?

Hmm, I'm looking at them again and to me, the armor vest and super shield aren't quite up to par with the other items. The textures are good but the models themselves aren't quite so appealing - they don't look 'wearable'.

Though this is just a model-replacement mod it'd be cool if when wearing the various vests, IR goggles etc they were attached to the player model.

Would be cool. Probably better wait for JK4 though. Oh, you know there'll be one.

And the shields will actually disintegrate and fall off. And the items will have honest-to-goodness holstering.

Shred, wonderful work. Does the force boost light up while spinning? I think the editions you made for practicality (e.g., shield pick-up is no longer a futuristic Texan's belt buckle) were right on. They make sense, and didn't hurt the item's recognizability -- they all still suggest "This is X item."

The force boost lights up, and has animated reflections, it's nifty! Also, the green on the shield pack glows. As for the designs, some of the originals are too rediculous and don't fit in with everything else. And JO is more or less cannon.

As someone suggested on another thread, it would be nice if the bacta powerup looked like some useable canister of liquid instead of a collectible limited-edition miniture of the ESB bacta tank.

All in all I think it's a good idea to improve some of the original silly designs.

although I really don't like the new rail det

Yet now I realized how silly those keys actually are. Lawl

Because the JO ones are way, way better than the JK ones.

I think the bacta tank should be full-sized so you can stand in it :p
2006-08-30, 4:51 PM #22
I always looked at it as a canister you could drink the bacta out of... or something.

But that'd seal the hole back up I guess...

i sort of figured that too, but as far as i remember the only time they were used in the movies was after lukey boy got pwned by hoth's weather; and he was totally submerged in one. drinking bacta would probably get rid of a stomach ulcer and little else.

maybe you are supposed to pour them over open wounds?

Those models are great. ANyone else share the opinion that the DF supercharge > JK supercharge? Something about rigging the charge up to the gun with those loose wires just seems more appealing to be than the giant glowing oraneg cylinder. I can't begin to imagine how that could do anything...

Absolutely! I know exactly what you mean. The DF supercharge had a great experimental "use-at-your-own-risk" type look, and looked like something you could actually use.

I really like all the models. It's awesome that you did the animated reflections Shred! I recognized all the items just fine so I don't think it's a big deal some of them aren't exactly like the JK originals.
