How does he carry all this stuff?

You should never use an action figure for a reference shot. They always screw up scale proportions for the sake of making the toy less fragile.

Looks good so far... cept his recharge socket seem to be too low, and sticking out too much. Looks like he's wearing a huge Flava Flav clock... either that, or he's got an IM Mine stuck to his belly. That area of detail may have been better as just texture detail, rather than modelled.

Other than that, don't forget to add his rusty scrap parts when texturing!

Surely those models are neat recreations... but those keys and wrenches still look quite stupid like they've always done :\

Neat 8t88 beginnings though ;)

Oh I know, that's why I had the blueprint looking one that had the actual proportions correct on it. The action figure one was more for just the small details and texturing help.

Yeah, look at the cutscenes: Shred's model is completely off in about 80% of the details.

Nobody would happen to know if it's possible to watch the old JK cutscenes somehow without hunting down and finding JK? I highly doubt any store near me even has it in the bargain bin anymore, and I miss those cutscenes.

That's a great model, too. :)
DO NOT WANT.

I don't think his 'eyes' are supposed to be so even. Isn't one supposed to be much higher than the other? I always thought those rusty parts and his right eye were replacement parts from some sort of blast damage. If you look at the head of the original 8t88, it looks as tho that rusty section was welded on as a quick fix.

No, they're meant to be even (reference). Not sure about the rust.

The model seems like a Shred quality model, however the textures look....cartoonish I guess, or stylized, not quite up to par with your other textures.............least that's what I think. :v:

I thought AT88 had a darker skin, but this might be due to lack of ambient light in the JK Nar cutscenes...

Thanks for showing us some of your models against a standard level. It really offers some perspective about how much better your models are than their surroundings.

Is there any way you can get the engines to glow on that? It would be oh so amazing. You could simply build a small transulcent 3do on the outside of the engine and just make it alpha blended, or I guess a quick and easy way without adding anything additional to the model would just be to set those texture flags to have fullbright, like you did with the kell eyes.. right now the glow just seems to be a little too dull to seem like the ship is actually turned on.
