Yo, I'm part of a rap league and I was wondering if you guys could critique my music. A friend provides the beat and I'm the one on the actual track. Most of these are kinda old but we're gonna start producin soon.

If you don't like rap, please don't bother dissin me cuz I don't care. I'm just postin here cuz ya'll seem like nice people.

The newest track starts up top while the older ones are the the bottom.

*NOTE*
If cuss words and stuff offend you, don't listen in.

I hate rap, but objectively this is pretty decent.

...But why do you have to use ghetto grammar and the like in your post?

God, honestly wrong place to post this. These people will tear you to sheds for posting anything rap related.

And maybe he uses "ghetto grammar" because that is wat he is used to. The way he talks in real life you know. Yes, its true not everyone is a poser.
2004-01-24, 3:37 PM #6
What do you mean ghetto? Just cuz I said yo and dissin?

Sorry, I'm used to talkin like that... I dunno if you guys have some kinda grammar code but this is just the way I talk...

And to Raoul - Thanks for backin me up... The only reason I posted this stuff here is to try to get opinions from a wide variety of people. This isn't the only place I posted this stuff.

First of all, your boys beat are iight at the best. Coming from someone who listens to rap and hip-hop daily...you sound like a white boy "TRYING" to change his voice and accent to sound ghetto. It sounds like your struggling. Plus I can barley hear you lyrics...

And your lyrics have no substance. You just use stupid school yard disses. Try to be original. I rather hear somone bite off of Nas, Hov, Pac or Biggie, then off crap. And September 11th? Gosh man..get some substance.

I don't mind his grammer. It adds character in a way.

But, I think you need to work on the words. Maybe its just me?

Well...I found the read lyrics part...and some of lyrics/disses are aiight, but some just DO NOT FLOW WELL AT ALL. They either dont go with the beat..or I dont know. I think it really is your voice. And dont ever say Negro as an insult if you are white...poser.

Hmm thanks for the feedback.

Ubuu -
1. I'm not white, (like it matters)
2. Yes, I admit I was tryin to find my style when I started so that's why I sound different. The one on top is the one I'mma stick to so I'd appreciate it if you guys focus on that on. (Sorry I didn't mention it before)
3. What do you mean by substance? I'm goin by new-age battle rap with metaphors and punches. Nas, Pac, Biggie, etc use old-school rappin methods, which is a different style. They used to have deeper ish and used battle rap to make threats. We're just battlin for fun and tryin to insult each other so I guess you're right in a way.
4. I don't get your last post. The f word has a u not an a, unless you're talkin bout another word???

Echoman - Please elaborate.

Why you racist sonofa...!

If you replace "white boy" with "black boy" and "ghetto" with just about any other quality, you'd sound like the biggest redneck KKK assface that ever walked this earth.

I will not put up with this racist behavior, so you can go to Hell.

Why the hell do you make so many jokes about you being gay?

Because, you will soon learn that I take nothing seriously. So if I ever seem offensive, it's all in good fun. I'm a silly man. Not gay...just silly.

Ummm not its not. You listen to one mainstream song and then you characterize the entire genre. Rap can be poetic and moving (aka. my sig for example). I do argee that there is alot of that type of rap but there are artists who don't rap like that, and no you don't just "talk" over a "single" beat.
