I voted every one but I had a second thought. How bout you can make your own after 1000, add color after 2000, and add other effect after 3000. Before 100 posts you could be something like padowan or initiate, and from 100-1000 you could be massassian. That would rock.

BTW the new forum is really comming together nicly.

Yeah, I changed a few too. :) It was kind of fun. I tried not to go overboard though...I didn't change any that had already been customized. And if someone said they didn't like theirs, I tried to change it...oh well. Sorry if I annoyed anyone. :)

I like mine, but could you make it blue for the time being? It's hard to see. You can change it if you want becasue it has no realation to anything out side the thread I was in. :)

I voted that admins should name anyone (says everyone, but that'd be silly). What does your "seniority" on a stupid messageboard have anything to do with getting a goofy title? That as bad as a hardcore EverQuest player giving a newbie a hard time because they haven't wasted the last 5 years of their life on a game.

The titles I saw in the "Flexor has been [blahblah]..." thread were just wonderful, and I think is the perfect setting for them to be used. An admin sees someone say something that characterizes them and comes up with a humorous title to capture that moment.

Let us make our own! And yes it would be best for a word limit and no colors. Actually I like mine.

I agree with those dudes on page 1, we should have avatars with a low size/byte limit. Those who don't want them can turn them off with their CP.

Only admins should be able to edit titles. That way, I can love my title in secret, but claim that I resent it!

Regarding avators: We should allow them, but do not enable them by default.

It has been spelled wrong! I suspect the person that set my title failed to understand the innuendo of "Seen Your Member".

The only custom title I gave was my own. I had a few requests to change their user names (Gandalf1120 --> JediGandalf),which I followd up upon. But I didn't give any custom titles, because I wanted to be unique!!!

I think if we're going to have them, we should at least be able to edit our own. Or at least be able to request their removal. Not that I don't like mine. :)

I think it means nothing when you give yourself the title.
It has some point to it when it is given to you by another and it reflects the kind of person another percieves you to be.
It might be incentive to not be an ***, too.

I'd just like to say I hate the idea of custom titles being available to only those with 1000 posts or similar.

QUANTITY != QUALITY

Whenever theres a forum with prizes for people with x posts, there is always large amounts of spam.
I know I'll probably never even get to 1000 posts, but I'd like to think most of what I say has some value to it and contributes to the conversation.
Of course, sometimes I just talk crap, but anyway...

I say let the admins add them to only a few people. I watched people whining and squirming for custom titles on another board with a rule like that. It was pretty fun. :D
