I was going to post in this thread, but Pagewizard decided to ruin all chances of men being taken seriously the moment he said "All feminists are fat, and ugly."

That said, men need the domination anyway, just look at Pagewizard.

I didn't say 95% of them are crazy and radical, Keiran, it was an example. But by far, the majority of feminists are feminazis.

And holy crap, I could've SWORN it said Krokodile

Not to mention the majority of feminist organizations, the majority of the feminists most the people who have posted here know, the majority...etc etc.

I'm not saying all feminists are feminazis, because there are those that strive for equal rights and all that (even though in today's work place it's not nearly as pronounced, the difference between women and men. But that's just my take on it) and I respect that--as long as they don't start offending, disliking, and trying to prove that men are evil on the basis that they are men.

There are some feminist organizations today that I don't like. But that doesn't mean I don't think true feminism or feminists aren't for a worthy cause.
That's like saying you hate black rights because of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Pagewizard's comment reminded me of what Anne Coulter said about the women at the DNC. It basically boiled down to "republican women are pretty and democratic women are ugly". It's pretty disgusting really. It's in the third paragraph:

Its amazing how you twist my words around to suit your purposes. I said MOST feminists, not all feminists.

The feminists that I've encountered have all been poisonous, bitter, hateful people.

feminism is a no-win situation

IF the feminists got full equality they would just whine about it because they probably wouldn't like it

No. Oranges are better.

Read about feminism, then trash it if you wish.

Pagewizard: calling feminist womyn* fat and ugly is the most ignorant thing I've ever read- and I'm only exaggerating a little bit. That would be like me labeling all of your past dates as slutty and stupid. You can say "Womyn have equal rights, they should just shut up and stop whining," till the cows come home (and I live in KS, so I can keep an eye on that for you). The fact that you immediately try to appeal to something shallow proves their argument. Womyn aren't even respected enough to have their argument treated the same as a male argument.

* spelled like that to maintain performative consistency. I can't defend feminist ideas and at the same time be patriarchial, now can I?

Disclaimer: I don't advocate all of feminism. I defend their stance relative to pagewizard's arguments.

Women do have equal rights presently. They can vote, hold a job, and serve in the military if they so choose. What more do they want?

As it stands, feminists are not a serious enough threat to warrant my attention and the attention of others like me. Their movement is dead, having expended most of its purpose, and the voices of a few radicals do not carry enough influence to affect the grand design of things. Few people give credibility to new-wave feminists, so the problem is eliminated, in a sense.

How about: your respect? I'm calling on you to be "macho" enough to admit labeling a group of people as "fat and ugly" is wrong.

And it's obvious you still don't understand the feminist argument if you think their goals have been achieved. Read the link, they claim patriarchy goes deeper than rights. If you are talking about a specific group of feminists, try specifying. That's your problem: you keep generalizing.

Yeah, like the right to be raped and the right to be judged primarily on looks instead of substance...

That's not an argument. That's a claim. Got a warrant?

Just b/c they claim it does not make it so. There is no male-driven conspiracy to keep women down.

as far as respect goes, my respect has to be earned back if it is lost. Feminists have done nothing to earn my respect back, so why should i give it to them?

I normally respect everyone unless they send bad iontentions my way.

I must ask you, why do you support feminists? Are you merely playing devils advocate in this debate, or do you actually sympathize with such ideals? if so, why? What have they done for you?

Seriously though, charisma is the number one thing women are attracted too. During the teenage years, that is enough for a woman to stay with a man. But from young adulthood on, if the man doesn't have more to offer, whither it be money, power, security, creativity, intelligence, similiar interests etc, the woman will move on. Kind of like how a young adult man will move on if all a woman has is a pretty face but no personality.

I'll agree that charisma is the big attractor, and that other attributes like money and power play an increasing role as people age.

One of the attributes of masculinity is dominance, among other things . If you are rich, you dominate the local financial scene. If you have a lot of social influence or power, you dominate the social scene. This makes a man appear masculine to a woman, and it helps make the woman attracted to him.

Although we don't live in the jungle anymore, part of our mind still thinks that we do, and it shapes our intentions accordingly. We are still animals on the most basic level--- we are just REALLY, REALLY intelligent animals.

To an extent it's devil's advocacy... but I honestly disagree with your stance. I don't agree with feminism either, but my reasoning is different.

Look, even if womyn (ha!) are sexually attracted to men based on looks, that's not relevant. You specifically take a female's argument and attack it by attacking the way she looks. Instead of: "I think feminism is wrong because it's a form of over-identification. It's just as otherizing as patriarchy." You say: "they're all fat and ugly." When was the last time you read an article by a man you disagreed with and said: "Well, he supports the draft of 18 year olds because he's too fat and ugly to be allowed in the military himself. "?

In the original form of the bible, men came from the godess, not women from the man. You read the desencitized version, while the real bible, the direct hebrew version, holds the only "laws" you should bother following or believing.

Oh, and by the way: I could EASILY argue against this feminism thing, but Pagewizard has proved why I'll always be wrong: Men will be ignorant in contrast to women being the accuser. Women had the first word, so no matter what we say, or do, men will be incorrect.

All in all, Page will always be wrong.

every woman that was not an "upper class, daddie's girl, doesn't need to work because of rich family, spoilt brat" (see Hilton, Paris).

Basicly, anybody that has been to Australia (as we have a number of cities where the big mansions are mostly owned by big government people and company CEO's) will see that most marriges are for personality.

USA and aussie-land are two different places. The women here act differently. A lot of them are spoiled rotten, a problem that can be easily counteracted by dating foreigners.

or...

you could date women that don't live in upper class houses and date middle class women. remember page, middle class is not a PC term for lower class. middle class is where you have enough money to live comftably but not enough to live in constant luxuary(sp?).
