Most likely you wouldn't even notice the wave as it passed underneath you.

yes, but being drunk is not an excuse for acting like an idiot, especialy in such a serious thread.

Also, yoshi, that cliché doesn't work as I have not had any time when I did not post for a while (except for that april fools joke in 2003 and my holiday in 2002) and I have never been banned or recieved a warning for constant inappropriate behaviour. also, i have almost 6.75 times post he does and he has been here for 4 years. the fact that I remembered him is a sign that he has been a troll because if he was remembered for being an exempraly member, he would have a much higher postcount as many more people would respond to his posts and allow civilised conversation with him.

Therefore, your line of "Pot. Kettle. Black." is easly countered by the cliché "apples and oranges".

Call me cynical but I'm not sure I trust man's ability to measure a 0.000003 second change in the Earth's rotation.

In terms of what we can measure, 3.0 * 10^-7 seconds is an age.

We can measure up to one femtosecond, 10^-15 seconds.

well, the earth's rotation does slow down by a miniscule amount each day. I might have been overestimating the speed at which it happens (or mabye even underestimating, but more likely overestimating) but the earth does have its rotation slow down each day.

Measuring time is one thing. Measuring that miniscule difference in the Earth's rotation as a unit of time is something else and, in fact, didn't happen. The whole thing is a theory.

Actually, the wave probably would've passed right under you. I doubt you'd even notice it.
