For those who may remember MaDaVentor...
2003-12-09, 3:55 PM #1
Hello,

My Name is Travis, and I have known MaDa personally for many years.

It is unfortunate, however, that I have to make this post. As of early morning today (December 9, 2003) MaDa is no longer living.

As you might know he has had a brain tumor since December 2, 2003. He did have surgery, and the doctors were able to remove about 90 - 95 percent of the tumor. However it would grow back. He has had 2 surgeries. Unfortunately it had nearly doubled in size when compared to when he first was diagnosed with the tumor. About 4 and half weeks ago he (or rather his parents) were told that he had but only about 3 weeks left to live.

I figured it would only be right that I post this. He loved Massassi, he loved Star Wars, he loved the Jedi Knight series and games, and most importantly he loved editing for Jedi Knight.

I fully intend to give his parents a card or letter, or something to show that he will be missed, and that he was loved. If you have anything you might want to say to his parents/family I would be more than happy to pass it on, just post it here, e-mail it to me at BlueViper85@ignmail.com (a passport is attached to this name, so it is also the e-mail address I use for Windows Messenger), or send me an IM on AIM at BlueViper192 I am sure his family would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway that's about all I have to say.

[Edit]
I would like to make a quick update.

Adam's time of death was 4:15 AM (December 9, 2003)

I was told that when he died he was in his room (hooked up to some machines, of which a heart monitor is included) He drifted to sleep, and then died. So it was a very peaceful death. I was also told that he had 2 of his friends in his room with him at that time.

I hope this helps to ease the pain at least a little.

Unreal... :-(

This is really depressing. And I hope Adam had a great life, something he was proud of. I know everyone here looked up to him, and respected him. And I hope he was in the least pain as possible.

Live on Adam.

Thanks to all of you. I really appreciate all of the posts and everything. It makes me feel a lot better knowing how loved or liked he was.

And jEDIkIRBY.... I'm glad you mentioned that you hope he was in the least pain as possible.

I forgot to mention that he was on plenty of very strong pain killers and it was quite likely that he was not in much pain at all. Plus the short length of the enlarged tumor also kept the pain down a lot. Had he lived a lot longer (a couple months or so, at the least) he most likely would have been in more pain.

I haven't kept up with the community for the past year or so. At the time that I faded I believe he had recently undergone his first surgery and was under the impression that he was doing well, so to me at least this comes as quite a shock. He will be missed.

RIP Adam.

I don't know if this is appropriet, if it isn't, I'll shut up, but we all should make a level pack with all of his textures, as sort of a tribute.

I'll delete this post if it's completely unappropriet.

Man...I have 2 strong memories of him, one was beta-ing his Acid Facility level, that was fun...I still remember that, feels like it was a year ago but it must have been longer. I kept giving him suggestions for where to place items and he was like no no I like it here. It was fun though, he was a great guy.

The other memory was when he showed us his scar on the top of his head. I remember saying "OH MY GOSH...I have that exact same T-shirt" and he lol'd it on a later message, so I'm pretty sure it made him laugh.

I also remember talkin to him in the chat a few times...nothing specific or vivid, but he was funny.
Anyway...we'll miss ya Mada
