I did't know MaDa personally, but I am a huge fan of his work. It saddens me that he won't be creating new things for me to toy around in, but as someone said to him in another post...

Truly terrible. I remembered the time he showed his picture to Massassi, his head was partially bald due to what I could only assume was chemotherapy.

I still remember how carefree he looked in those pictures.

I can't say as I had much of a personal relationship with him, though his work was very well known, and everything he said was of influence just by the fact that he was Madaventor.

I really don't know what to say. At least he knows if there's a heaven or not.

I do hope his loved ones are doing well, but he's the one dead - all I can do is wish for his happy afterlife, whatever it may be.

I think this is the biggest shock I've ever had. I never got to personally know him, but now I wish I had. You never think someone you see or meet online could pass on. I don't know why but I just can't stop crying. My prayers go out to Him and His Family.

Whether big or small, long or short, we all leave a legacy behind us. His will be remembered by us all. His Legacy will live on in this site, our memories, and in what he's created.

Rest in peace MaDa, May your Legacy live on for all time.

I never knew the guy, but I appreciated his work and to see that he enjoyed doing it that much brings warm feelings to my heart. He was one of us, and will truly be missed. His work was repected very highly, and his memory shall be respected even more so. Im am glad to hear that he was a Christian. Extensions of these feelings and sypmathies go out to his family and friends.

Wow..

Adam, have fun up there in paradise until we can (hopefully) meet up with you there again. I do have fond memories of MaDa.. We just lost the best beta tester this site has ever known, and one of the best artists and editors as well. Most importantly, we lost a great friend. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

MaDa, I want you to know that I always thought you were an awesome editor, far surpassing anything I've ever cranked out. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] I dinstinctly remember him telling me "I hate you!" when he was beta testing Oy'glah'th, and I was really puzzled. I was like, "What?" He said something along the lines of "I'll never be as good as you!", and I was really confused.

I was like, what?! You're ten times better than me, MaDa! I always did think so.. So modest, Adam was. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

My best wishes go out to Adam's family!

I don't want to stir away from the post...but am also glad to hear that. There were many times he could have cussed out, lashed out, at any of these forums memebers, yet he didnt. Always jollym carefree and friendly. Great example of someone who gave respect and was most def respected back. I am no surprised that those who ridiculed him or were rude have not posted here.

Like many have said before, I never personally knew him either, but I've always loved his levels and textures. Always admired him as an artist. I'll miss him.

But also, you have to stop and see just how much he positively impacted the massassi community. He was an amazing person. God bless his family and friends.

While not one of the most consistent Massassi members I have been with Massassi for quite a while. I remember many good times, and many of those involved MaDa. I used his enwirement wallpaper for the entirety of the life of my old comp, in fact, he changed the text to enwirement because I had the original that said mada along the bottom and told him he should put a generic version on his site. He was a great friend, a great editor, and a great person, he had so much life in him even after his operations, and I will miss him. Goodbye. MaDa, your memory will live on, and may your soul be carried peacefully.

MaDa was always bright and optimistic, and was a very talented artist.

I remember he once made me some custom textures for one of my first levels; before I was even known to be an editor! It takes a good person to share their time and work with someone who they don't even know will produce something of quality, or not!

I'll miss MaDa [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

I don't know what to say. This is the second time Massassi has lost a great person to something so tragic (that I know about). I was gone, didn't even know about the medical problems until I saw this post.

I can't count the number of nights Mada and I were up all night talking about pretty much everything. I was always impressed by his work and his dedication. But more importantly, I was impressed by the way he treated people. Even if angered, he would apologize quickly and forgive even more quickly (God knows I needed forgiving from him more than once).

I don't think I talked to him since I got back to Massassi. That in itself is another tragedy. I guess my original farewell note summed it up best, "Thanks to MaDaVentor for helping me realize that forgiveness and tolerance are more productive than anger."

Just like Lar Van Der Gant, I will truly miss Mada and I will keep him and his family in my prayers. This is the first time in years I have shed tears.

I'm at a complete loss. Not often does one experience the passing of a great friend, tolerant advisor, and gifted artist all at once. Madaventor was all of these things, and much more. He was probably the most influential voice in every project I undertook, offering criticism where warrented, and helpful comments when needed. He also went to great lengths to produce the highest quality of textures upon request, and asked for nothing in return aside from recognition. He was always willing to help, and was always hopefully optomistic. I will remember him and everything he did for me, as well as the community until the day I die. Most of us here grew up, and are growing up with these boards, becoming adults in an advanced society. This place will always be in the back of our minds when we think back to our teenage years, as well as the people who made up the community. Madaventor will be deeply missed, and always remembered.

Thank you for everything you did. May your soul endure no pain, nor your spirit suffering.

Rest in Peace.

I am very sorry to hear this... most of my memories are of me chatting with him in my early days at #massassi, and I can remember that I, at least, thought of him as being a very nice, friendly, decent man, even when I sometimes acted out of turn.

My condolences to his family and his many friends. I will also sincerely miss Adam.

It's always a surprise whe death takes someone, even when it's to be expected.

I'm still in shock, even though I didn't really know MaDa. But I knew his work, just like a lot of Massassians here. It was simply amazing stuff.

'Tis a sad day indeed. God bless you Adam.

Mada - we (both the Massassi community as well as, of course, your family and close friends) will miss you always - you have truly played a significant role in keeping Massassi and JK alive and your contributions will never die, so long as Massassi lives [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Although I never knew you on a personal level, I (and I know I speak on behalf of many here at Massassi) always looked forward to seeing new textures that you would showcase in these forums. You will be sorely missed and never replaced - Massassi will always remember you...

God bless Mada - my thoughts are with your close friends and family in this difficult time.
