Graffiti writing is so freaking stupid.

What the hell is the point of writing something on a wall, when the average person can't tell what it says?

This especially goes for the crap that is obviously intended to be seen as you drive by.

It's art...though it's hard for people who don't do it to understand.

Then there's those who just do it to be cool. That's stupid, but most of the people who do it because it's art just don't have any other place to do it. Some towns have dedicated Graffiti walls, but a lot more don't.

Point? Art isn't something you keep in, it's something you get out and share with the world. It sucks that it damages property, but there's different methods of doing it (airbrushing). It's just most people don't know about it until being into graffiti for a while.

I've been into graffiti longer than all of you, because I live with it. EVERY DAY.

It's annoying, and hard to read 99% of the time no matter how many times I see it.

You don't need to be able to read writing to find it aesthetically pleasing.

Grafitti is not aesthetically pleasing, however. It's just rushed randomness.

If someone were to do grafitti in an elaborate gothic calligraphy style, it would look awesome.
