US presidential election: your vote
2004-07-10, 9:16 AM #1
Who is it going to and why (if there's a chance you might change your mind before the election in November, who would it now go to and why)? If you're not American, you can say who you would like to win and why.

I am not American, and I really don't know! As a non-American I suppose I want the candidate with the best foreign policies to win. Who has the best foreign policies is beyond me.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

My vote is going for Bush.

I know he's not perfect, but rarely any president is.

I'd rather vote for Bush than Kerry though, for a number of reasons. I'm a more conservative kind of guy though, and this Kerry-Edwards ticket just isn't doing anything for me.

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

Kerry. Not because I think he'll be better in office, but because when it comes down to it, and I have to choose between a liberal who doesn't excite me, and a conservative who doesn't excite me, the liberal in me makes the decisions.

I'm REALLY tempted to leave the presidental portion blank. I really do think that everybody in the Executive Branch said "f*** them" about California.

Bush has 115 days to make it up..

Kerry. Because recession, deficits, and war are bad.

halucid.... simply because he's the sexiest

Actally Bush. I he may not be the best public speaker... but he's real, true to his word, and human.... unlike every other politician on the planet. Plus, no matter who wins the election, we'll still have Iraqi involvment... so let's go for someone who will finish the job...

Let's not forget, Bush gave me a $300 check, and one to most every other taxpayer, when he made it to office... what a guy.

11 for Bush
3 for Kery
2 for Nader
1 for Vader
1 for Bane's Toe
1 for Porcelain Vase
12 for me! I win! Bow before me, my minions!

Well, to clarify - I feel if it was Bush as president versus Kerry as president, I think Bush would be more closer to perfection than Kerry.

=)

I'm not voting for Bush. However, I'm not entirely sure Kerry as earned my vote yet, so right now it's a toss-up between Kerry and perhaps some other 3rd party candidate.

Bush.
A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Bush. The only reason I've seen to vote for Kerry is that he isn't Bush. That isn't good enough for me. Plus I lean more towards republican politicians.

I'm glad someone finally summed up my thoughts. I was getting a little worried there with the possibility that I might have had to type something.

Well since I have managed to ignite an argument in every other political thread lately, I'll just say Kerry and move on.

On a side note, when Kerry makes a joke, it's actually funny. If you've been watching the news lately, you'll know what I'm talking about. Bush is a little too fake for me. Everything he says seems a little too planned.

Ironically, I'm not sure I would vote for Bush. I do know I wouldn't vote for Kerry or anyone who wants higher taxes.

Consider me a vote for Halucid.
