Sam Adams Cherry Wheat ftw.

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is pretty good but nothing compared to a "real" wheat beer like Unibroue Blanche de Chambly, Ommegang Witte or Great Lakes Holy Moses.

Yeah...I have to agree that Budweiser is pretty bad.

Budweiser, Coors, Miller = crap. Colored flavored water that's been carbonated and filled with I guess alcohol. It's a cheap way to get yourself drunk and that's all they're good for. The only thing below that (and cheaper) is malt liquor.

A beer should taste like a beer damnit! Not some ****ing chemical factory with alcohol!

Actually I had a Miller Light that was quite good once, but that was after it sat in the refrigerator for something like six months. D:

I would say that was Jim, if he wasn't 27, still lived with his parents, collected guns, and worked at wal mart.

Wait, maybe he DOES know trailer trash beer better than I do...

It won the Gold Medal for best American style light lager at the World Beer Cup or something like that, so it must be good! :D

Aging a beer with such a low ABV should be impossible. The fact that Miller Light tastes better spoiled speaks volumes.

Tried three new beers tonight, all pretty good but not outstanding. Czechvar (Budweiser Budvar in the Czech Republic, not related to the American Budweiser brewery) is probably the best lager I've had. Franziskaner is a good hefeweissen. Boddington's is unlike anything I've had before... smooth head, sweet but with a bitter finish.

What? Might as well drink water, that stuff is so light.

I'm not a beer man really... I don't think Guinness counts as beer, but if it does, that's probably the only one. Now cider on the other hand... I've yet to find one I won't drink.

Guinness, or (it's less successful brother) Murphy's.

I like pretty much anything Sam Adams or Michelob, Rolling Rock Pale Ale, Mickey's, Bud Select/Light/Budweiser, Heineken.

**** talk whatever you want about AB products; I'm from St. Louis, so it's more sentiment than anything else. I will say this much, though--getting it day-fresh in St. Louis is amazing. There's really a taste difference that you wouldn't notice otherwise. Getting it at the ballgame or a local bar just makes home feel that much more like home.

Anyway, I've never understood the whole cheep beer thing to get drunk... just buy a fifth of something. You'll get drunk faster, it's cheaper, isn't loaded with carbs, not nearly as filling, etc.

Card games. Beer doesn't get you drunk as fast, you can play more, and party longer before you go blind *** drunk.

There's this good microbrewery out of Toronto called Stream Whistle, though I doubt any of you have had it.
2008-03-21, 1:35 PM #61
In terms of I guess non-party beers, I like Becks, Sprecher's Bocks, Sam Adams stuff. In terms of the lower end, I don't mind PBR or Miller Lite even. Living in Milwaukee, they got a lot of Miller around.

I'm really not too much of a beer man. I like hard liquor more.

BUT OMG NATTY ICE AND KEYSTONE FTW! I WUZ POUNDING DOWN THOSE WITH SOME FRAT BOYZ LULZ

There's a place here in Sevilla where I'm living called Cerveceria Internacional, they have an insane variety of beers that I have been sampling a bit. So far Demonio out of France and Hoegaarden, which has been mentioned before, are my top couple. There was also a beer I can't remember the name of, it was Belgian and the bottle was wrapped in white plastic. It was very good, but I prefer both Demonio and Hoegaarden.
2008-03-21, 3:22 PM #65
Sapporo is pretty good. I like their cans, they're tall and very, very hefty. If you squeeze it you'd find it very hard to crush.

Heeb, there's a store in Rochester called Beers of the World. I've googled about it, and apparently people that have lived in Rochester and elsewhere have said they've never found much anything like it. It's totally awesome. They have brewing supplies, too.

the sapporo cans always take people by surprise. when it's empty it feels like it still has 3 mouth fulls left in it. then ask one of your tough guy friend to crush it. with both hands they'll try for 15 minutes to maintain some manliness and prove it's crushable. lol.

is there any ways of successfully fusing vodka with a nice thick beer because damn
2008-03-21, 9:11 PM #70
Corellian ale...in a clean glass.

But honestly I don't drink.

Root beer owns however.
2008-03-21, 9:34 PM #71
Birch beer is better than root beer, and cream soda probably better than both.

Still prefer it over any other beers I've ever tried though.

I find stuff like Sam Adams Boston Lager and Guiness Stout to taste like bitter ***.
2008-03-21, 11:01 PM #80
Guiness is supposed to be bitter. Sam Adams is good but not great. Try a Belgian wheat beer.
