Not quite the same, but a while ago on the Ultimate-Guitar forum there was a bloke who lost almost everything he owned in a house fire and someone put together a paypal fund and they bought him a guitar after about half a dozen got burned up.

They really are an amazing bunch! The dude who put the guitar together runs a custom-shop. I'll be buying my next guitar from there. I'm in discussion with him about doing a chrome-plated Jazzmaster-type guitar.

I've been playing for about four hours, and if it keeps this level of shine up for the duration then it's well worth it. There's a nice feeling of exploration, the writing is excellent, and some of the...concepts within the game are astounding, hilarious, absolutely insane, or all three (telekinetic grizzly bears, a psychic special agent holding down several day jobs, an annoyingly cheerful duo with a terrible secret...). I can see why it gets such rave reviews from the small number of people who played it when it first came out. I've already seen a great deal of variety in the places I've been so far (the camp, as well as four different people's psyches), and I can't wait to see some of the places I'll be heading to next.

Courtesy of the Woot!-off.

I've wanted a large set of headphones for a while, and the reviews looked good for it. Comes with a mic as well.

For the first time in about a year, I found a new copy of Excite Truck for the Wii for sale. I'd seen used copies for $45 but there's a big part of me that is against paying only $5 less for a used copy of a game.

... but this new copy of Excite Truck was marked down to $20 on the price tag that was on it.

... but when they rang me up it came up for only $10 in their register. Score!

Not quite. I already have a Denon receiver and the computer parts are not for my HT (though the parts are for my FreeBSD server/desktop which streams to my Squeezebox and my Xbox 360). What subwoofer are you looking to get?

are you using that sub with your 683's? besides that, which ones do you recommend with the 683's?

the b&w's and one of the subwoofers you recommend are probably going to be my next post in this thread :neckbeard:

Yeah, I am using it with my 683's. There are a lot of good subs by HSU, SVS, Velodyne, etc. Sunfires are good for their size (I wanted a compact one for my apartment and this was one of the few I could actually demo in person), but if you can go bigger you will probably be better off with another brand. You might want to check AVSForum and see what they recommend (I know SVS and HSU are pretty popular there). Of course, your best bet is to always audition it, since it ultimately comes down to what you like the best.
