washed out... hell no

black levels are strong (to the point of being overpowering)
colors are strong for the most part (the opening bit with the narration about the book will always look like poo)

there are some minor things that could be improved upon but i doubt that will happen for at least another 4 years (25th anniversary edition perhaps?) but right now it's the best the movie will look

I have a set of USA Burstbuckers in my Epi Dot that I love, but seriously, the Alnico Classics in the Epi LP are pretty impressive. If I do switch them out, I'll probably go for a pair of Burstbucker Pros and save having to wax-pot them myself again, like I had to do with the BB2 and BB3 in my Dot.

But we taped our last practice, and the LP had a really nice, warm and clear crunch to it. :)

ps: the post with the les paul is mine. that account can be deleted now that I have my old one back.

oh cool. I have an epi les paul ES and I don't recall secificaly what kind of pickups were in it but they were pretty muddy. So I put a 496 and a 500 and haven't looked back.

No Reg? That's the best piece of gear to see :)

I got the same mask shape, the extra visual range to the bottom is really nice.

I don't have gloves or a hood though, those are pretty much for pussies :P or people who dive in the notcarribbean

Yup! Configure a white MacBook and a black MacBook on Apple's site with the exact same specs, and the black one will be $100 more. The difference used to be $150 when they first launched.

Yes, which means you paid Apple $100 more just for the black color vs the white one.

You can get the white one with the same exact specs for $100 less.

I am about to buy my HD-20 HD camcorder, and I'm feeling guilty. I hate spending a great deal of money. Yes, 6-800 dollars is a great deal of money in my opinion.

because this one was $20... and other than the briefcase full of useless swag it's the same thing... 3 blurays with 5 versions of the movie and 2 dvds of bonus material
