Got Scammed for 350 bucks by DJ_Yoshi

I realize this is not really relevant to the topic, but listening to rap music and smoking weed does not automatically make someone a totally immoral and unreliable person.

(Although I kind of do see your point with regard to some of the things Yoshi said, Jon`C.)

I can't believe he did this. I mean, I can, but... wow. He seemed pretty cool once you got to know him a little better. (To me, at least)

This goes to show that it's really hard to trust people you know from the internet.

Sorry I can't be of any help.

I find this statement so funny, because way back you and he had like a blood feud going on.

Wow. Yoshi was a bit full of himself, but I wouldn't have suspected him of this. Sorry that it happened to you, buck.

Nobody here is judging him quick. We've got plenty of experience with him being a douche.

I wasn't saying rap music, drugs and drug culture make someone a bad person. What I was saying is that those things are poorly-represented.

The funny thing is that while that's true, the people who are always super uptight about that fact usually are immoral or at least unreliable.

(Obviously I'm not referring to you.)

Conversely, I also used to know some kids who were so obsessed with drugs and getting high that it made them grimey as ****. Like, keep your cellphone/ipod on your person if you are around them grimey.

Immoral, what, according to you? Now that's a laugh.

And reliability is overrated. At least in the context of forced hierarchical relationships.

Huh? I'm not making some kind of philosophical argument. I'm just talking about some one who is prone to dishonesty and other wise sketchy behavior. Like this.

Are you saying I have some history of unethical conduct?

What are you talking about? Because I don't think it's what I'm talking about.

It seems to me the people who are always overly defensive and paranoid tend to be the sort of people who's lives lack structure and confidence, and are more prone to letting themselves get into a desperate positions that cause them to turn to dishonesty.

He's slipped off msn too recently. Or blocked me at least.

1. Report him to the police, give them all the evidence of what he's done to you and everything related to the other people, their contacts, etc. If he's scamming people that's a serious offense and 10 other people contesting to that the police should NOT ignore. He'll be found, caught, and charged with many offenses if there truly is evidence to prove he did this.

2. Kick the living **** out of him.

3. Come back here and describe every single detail of it.

Him and I never got along and he would often come into posts that I made JUST for the purpose of insulting me. It doesn't really bother me but now that I know he lives like Kenny Mccormick I guess it's kind of hilarious ( not being poor, but both being one of the biggest douche's around AND poor :D )

Don't hang out with people like that? If you get your **** stolen, that's your own fault.

I think it's more the thief's fault...unless you steal from yourself.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

If you are hanging around with people you KNOW are so shady you can't even trust them then yes, it's your own fault. The thief is at fault as well, but you're at fault for being a moron.

Buck, I'll paypal you the 350 :D

No he won't. I perma-banned him. The only way that this is going to get lifted is if he sends buck or another admin an explanation of why buck is out $350. If buck tells me that the explanation is convincing, I'll lift the ban. If it's horse ****, it stays.

To us, $350 is NOT chump change. $350 is a car payment, utilities, sizable portion of rent/mortgage. I can tell you that I'd be pissed as all hell if I was scammed $350.

ha. $350 is a sizable portion or rent? I could have sworn you lived in San Diego...

Don't you live with your parents? Do you pay for all of the rent then? Or do you pay rent to your parents?

He never seemed like a very honest person, but I always thought of him as somewhat reasonable. Although it's not really a big surprise to me that he would screw over "friends." Just pretty disappointing since I'd like to believe that people can live past their reputation.
