2009 Massassi NCAA Football Thread
2009-10-10, 3:19 PM #1
I'm not the only one that cares about this, am I? There's already an NFL thread.

Tennessee beat Georgia 45-19 earlier today but I hate both of those teams.

I'm watching Alabama at Ole Miss but the only one I really care about is Florida at LSU.
2009-10-10, 3:58 PM #2
Why are there so many lop-sided games?

VT crushes Boston College (48-14). Oklahoma puts the hurt on Baylor (33-7). Penn State anal rapes E. Illinois with a 6" wide schlong! (52-3)
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Even close ranked teams are lopsided, like the ole miss / Alabama game today.

College football sucks

Yeah, the season started out promising with some upsets (specially the weekend where 4 of the top 10 lost), but since then it has become a bit predictable.

I'm hoping for good things tonight with LSU vs. Florida (like maybe Tim Tebow getting plastered by LSU's defense!)

Um...why? I may sound weird but I hate seeing any players hurt.

Being plastered doesn't mean getting seriously injured (am I the only one that has heard for example, "Wow, Aaron Rodgers is getting plastered by the Vikings defense)

I want to see Tebow plastered on the ground (as a result of being sacked) as much as possible, because I just can't stand the guy. He's just too good. I wanna see a team other than Florida actually come out on top for once

If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

I do something similar, but it goes "Wow, Kyle Orton's getting plastered on Jack Daniel's."

I'm a huge Notre Dame fan. They have this weekend off, and next week they've got USC. I'm praying for a victory there... maybe then the Irish will actually be ranked ffs.

First time in school history they have started the season 4-1 and not been ranked.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Jimmy Clausen Heisman FTW.

The new AP Poll is out.

1. Florida
2. Alabama
3. Texas
4. Virginia Tech
5. Boise State

I can live with that. Rank Florida and Alabama wherever you want, but only one of them will get to play Texas for the National Championship.

Haha. My Irish get a bye week and they end up ranked? I'll take it.

Texas is still #2 in the Coaches Poll.

I don't like double posting and I don't want it to seem like I'm just bumping up my thread, but Florida and Arkansas play at 3:30 PM.

I think Texas and Oklahoma is around the same time but I'm not sure.
2009-10-16, 9:58 PM #23
Notre Dame and USC are on at 3:30 pm too. I hope the Irish can pull it off.

I doubt I'll see any of that when it's on since I'll be in Gainesville at the stadium but I could see part of Texas vs Oklahoma and Georgia at Vanderbilt.

I'll be at that second game, watching yet another Vandy-UGA homecoming matchup that will probably end like all the others do... Blah.

The new AP Poll is out with Alabama at #1 but that doesn't matter for the BCS.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings

The Coaches Poll is mostly the same.

1. Florida
2. Alabama
3. Texas
4. USC
5. Boise State

I think the BCS comes out today too.

I thought the Razorbacks did great yesterday. Actually stayed in the game until the last few seconds. Whoda thunk it.

Our game wasn't pretty either, but it's 11:53 p.m. and OU still sucks.

None of the top 3 teams had pretty wins, but they're still wins.

Unlike Virginia Tech.

Alabama's was pretty good.

On a side note, Arizona is ranked for the first time since 1998. Hell yes.

I'm really really glad to see Iowa up very high. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. (I'm hoping for Iowa maybe Natl championship and Penn State sneaks into Rose Bowl! Then again, they'd both probably get crushed like usual)

I'm hoping for a Cincy v Boise State National Championship. I know that will never happen unless Alabama, Florida, and Texas lose... but I can dream can't I?

A friend and I were trying to figure out last night why USC is ranked above Oregon. I think the only possible explanation is that the voters have a hard-on for USC.

Of course they have a hard-on for USC, it's USC. I'm sick and tired of the Pac-10 being called the Pac-1+9.

That Iowa game was nuts, possibly the best Int/TD I've ever seen.
