I barely ever had a chance to see her lately. She's been pulling this crap for the last 2 weeks and tonight I finally confronted her about it. That was her response. That she wants to break the whole thing off. God damned *****.

The reality is she is legitimately busy as hell and she spent every possible moment when she wasn't at work talking to me or hanging out with me... other than the last 2 weeks... we haven't hung out... but she's still talked to me quite a bit.

I wouldn't be shocked if it was the case, because there are no lows that these whores won't stoop to, but I highly doubt it in this case.

Sounds a lot like this one chick who caught my fancy and have tried to court. I talk to her frequently but it's like pulling teeth to hang out with her. However, I sense I have been supplanted by someone else but I cannot prove that unless I confront directly.

I really liked her quite a bit. This was my first foray into dealing with women in 3 years because I just didn't think it was worth it to try anymore. I had been dumped, badly, so many times it's not even funny.

She was good enough to bring me out of that...

The wise thing to do would probably be to just go on. There are things that are outside your control (i.e. She's busy, works a lot, etc...). It's the first thing they try to say in any 12 step program.

Also, it gives you the chance to enact the Brad Pitt rule. Which would give you the chance to find out what she actually thinks about ya.

Alright, let me jump in here real quick with a woman's perspective.

If a woman is super busy, and she "spent every possible moment" hanging out or talking to you, then she clearly cared. The fact that the last two weeks she hasn't hung out with you, but shes still frequently talking to you means that she tried her best to work things out.

Being to busy for a relationship is a very legitimate reason to call things off. Just think what you'd feel like if she insisted you two stay together and you never see her. She was trying to spare your feelings. So instead of feeling bad for yourself, respect her for trying to find a way to minimize your pain.

Other people have already said it, but what Mirthy said is junk. No matter how busy you are, if you care for the other person, you don't try to "minimize their pain" by ending it, you say "you should know my life leaves me little free time, and [being a doctor/superhero/whatever eats up their life] may need to come first" and let the other person make their choice. If they don't like the other person enough to make it work, they say as much.
