She just called. We spoke for about 40 mins. I forgot to mention that she's had something wrong with her eye for the last week... and I had thought this was potentially effecting her behavior...

She apologized for being such a nasty ***** for the last week... and said that once her eye is better, then she'll be a lot nicer and we can start hanging out again...

It's lame, but it is what it is. We'll see how this pans out.

Here's a little update for those of you who might give a rat's ass.

The redhead's eye is still screwed up, but she's not being a total demon ***** anymore. She's actually being quite nice. So I have started giving her very little attention. This has been going on for the last 3 days or so. She has gotten maybe one text a day unless I'm replying to one she sent me. I don't call. I don't make myself available on facebook or anything like that.

As of tonight she's telling me how much she misses me and how she's so sorry for her behavior. Also worth noting that she says she wants her eye to get better soon because she doesn't want to come around with it all screwed up because she wants to "look pretty for me" and all... She added that she can't wait to see me again.

My basic response to all of this: "yeah it would be cool to hang out. I hope that eye gets better. I'm starting to miss you a little bit, too"

In the next 20 minutes I recieved approximately 12 texts from her talking about how sorry she is and how much she wants to see me.

I'll leave her hanging until tomorrow.

Don't leave her hanging for too long or she'll get pissed and start putting up walls.

It's all good... I remember how to do this now.

My cousin was asking me for advice on how to deal with a guy (she's 17) today. I started basically telling her how she can just manipulate the hell out of him and totally destroy his entire game plan. And it got me to thinking... and she got me to telling stories of how I got together with girls in my past and all of the sudden I had this moment of clarity where I was all "woah... I remember how to do this..."

Within the next 6 hours [redhead] is telling me how sorry she is and talking about how she misses me.

It's not really about manipulation. It's just a certain way you have to act in order to not be repulsive to the opposite sex. To some it comes naturally. Others, like me, have to actively try to do it, so it comes off as being manipulative.

Or do what I do, and date like once in a blue moon and not put on a show, and then the girl either runs away on the first date or she digs you.

I like my method more, even if it may lower my chances in the long run.

Yeah, on a serious note I agree with Geb's sentiment 100%

I've had manipulative gf's, and a couple of (fairly) non-manipulative ones. I say fairly because, let's be honest, there's always a bit in relationships, whether you (or her) are aware of it or not. Basically if there's only a bit, done sub-conciously, I can live with that.
I am still friends with my non-manipulative girlfriends, the manipulative ones I hate with a passion.
