Well, the root forums.massassi.net had an installation of whatever bb system we used prior. UBB or something. We didn't want to break links there at the time (although the threads subsequently got eaten by a worm or something).

That being said, the initial shock of the change has worn off. I think that the only thing askew is the color scheme. When it returns Ill be like the Canadians when the leafs came back from strike. I also think that’s what’s provoking people to speak out against it. The pointless info didn’t bother me at all; on the contrary, I rather liked knowing where people come from. Darth_Xasthur, I think it's not so much the complaints but the way in which the complaints are made.
Updates are inevitable, in this instance it was update or die, so CM has spent a lot of time and effort getting everything working, and is working on making things look as good as they did before (and better), but people are making demands and crying out "how could you do this to me!?!?!?" as if he stole their first born.

Massassians are a very dramatic people with certain things, especially with any change to the website.

I love the new mobile version. Once the colours and kinks are sorted out I can see myself choosing to use my phone over my laptop a lot more.

+1 on the spam though - I reported 3 this morning and there's another already.

I tried implementing reCAPTCHA yesterday. Apparently that was a bad idea. I've switched it back now.

Uhm, what? I do take what some people are saying about the changes personally. And I don't think that's an inappropriate reaction to some of the comments. I asked for suggestions and help pointing out theme issues, and instead I get a bunch of people acting like I did this on purpose just to aggravate people, or demands to change the theme, etc. It was exactly this sort of rection that i put off updating as much as I could.

If you really like it, you can choose it on your computer as well. It works, it's just... Different :P

I for one am glad CM is working hard on bringing the 'classic' Massassi theme as an option. I personally never liked olive, though I have used corporate a few times.

First, I'd like to thank Antony for all of his substantive feedback in this thread.

I was going to say that I miss the quick navigation at the bottom of the page but I see where it is now. Now I just miss that it isn't at the very bottom of the page.

This theme isn't too bad. Somethings are a bit heavy but you're going to fix that when the time comes.

I think before, we did have "breadcrumbs" or whatever in the sense that you could just hit the "Go" button next to the drop down list of forums. This theme doesn't have that button.

It makes my sig look bad and It wont let me edit it because apparently it's now too many characters :(

Other than that, the style looks good. Can we widen the post message screen though? It's soo damn narrow.

Also, if you are wookie06, the level of critique I am providing is of equal relevance to what anyone else is saying. Which is to say they're complaining about something just because it's different than what they're used to. Nevermind that it's better than what they're used to, but not complete. They just want to complain to CoolMatty that even though he's done what he's told us he'd do for ages now (updating to VB4 [it's about ****ing time]), you lot still want to complain about it because it's different. Of course it's different; it's a god damned upgrade.

CM: Where did you find out that VB was ending support for version 3? I found this post that said they were ending support for 3.7, but I don't see anything that says they are ending support for 3.8...

They stopped the sale of 3 month support packs for VB3 entirely on March 31st. This means that within 3 month's time, they will no longer be supporting VB3 in any manner.
