Not necessarily, which is why I asked. Some only track when you specifically ask it to, meaning you have to constantly keep attempting to track it.

They need to get some OnStar type **** on there. Just turn the phone on remotely and make the ringer start going off at maximum volume.

Some dude mugged me once. He took my keys. That's it. I wasn't even outside my apartment, and my keys had no indication of where my apartment was. This seriously confuses the living hell out of me to this day. I had a wallet, about 60 dollars, and a cell phone on me, and he took my keys. I didn't even bother calling the cops. I didn't see the guy at all. He just ran up behind me and knocked me down. I don't know if maybe he looked at my ID to see what my address was, but it didn't have the address where I was living at the time anyway. Maybe he's just doing the mugger version of trolling. This seriously bothers me every time I think about it. I cannot understand the motivation here.

Here in Edmonton the cops go wild if you even mention a gun because we have an insanely bad homicide rate, that and handguns are almost positively always illegal to own.
