It is. Picked up Skyrim today. On ultra quality I'm having zero framerate problems. :)

Wow. I think you atleast need to do some modding to the side panel to support the H100. Or just buy a new case.

Your random thread bump has reminded me that it's been a while since I upgraded. Must fight the itch.

Buys an AMD Piledriver CPU, spends ****loads on cooling it to get adequate performance. Makes sense!

AMD is so bad that Intel is just gonna sit on it's ass for the next half a decade.
ARM based processors might force them to get back at it, and if Intel actually does shift it's weight to beating ARM holy lol.

I bought an X-Fi Titanium HD today because I'm a giant baby and bad with money- it was worth it and I quite enjoy the additional directsound channels.

Any recommendations on a video card to pair with an i7-3770k, ASUS P8Z77-V Pro combo? I'm looking to do a one card setup.

This'll be my first computer build. I'm pretty sold on a higher end GTX 600-series, but the number of choices with non-reference versions of the 670 and 680 has me stuck.

I'm sticking with 1-monitor so I assume 4GB memory video cards wouldn't be buying me anything?
Steal my dreams and sell them back to me.....

I'd get a 670, the 680 isn't that much faster and it's a lot more expensive. Also, get the one with the 2 big fans on top, I forget which one it is. It actually runs somewhat cooler and is a lot quieter than the turbine fan cards.

Yeah, I had more or less settled on the ASUS GTX670 if only because it was a 2 slot card instead of 3, was cheaper, about as fast, and had the quiet 2 fan setup.

Then, as I was pulling the trigger on the rest of the buy, I noticed they had a 4GB version of the 670 and are about to come out with a 2 slot/4GB version of the 680. I also don't really have a reason for picking ASUS over any of the others, so I figured I'd run it past you guys.

Just got all of these in the mail, putting it together later today. It's for video editing, and other creative work I've been doing lately. Of course, I'll be gaming as well! Wish I'd known about this site before I ordered but I got them all on black friday for the right price. Any criticisms? I can still return/sell stuff in the box now.

Looks like a pretty sweet system to me. 32gb of ram seems overkill, but if you can make use of it thats awesome. What OS are you going to run?

I only got the other 16 gigs and 2nd 2TB drive because they were both on extreme sale and would've cost the regular price of one. I think it was only a 150 dollar difference with those two extras. I can't imagine I'll ever use that much ram, but the storage will definitely come in handy considering I'm a footage hoarder and am running out of space on my 3.5 TB of externals.

Running Win7 Ultimate, didn't really consider Win8 at all.

You will likely sorely regret getting only 64GB of SSD. You wouldn't believe how fast that fills up, just with windows/user folder crap.

I gotta agree with CM. Windows, Creative Suite, a couple games, pow pow, my 128GB SSD is even getting loaded up.

Hey anyone know what I should do if Windows doesn't seem to be detecting my HDD? Try a diff. SATA cable or something?

Does the UEFI/BIOS detect the hard drive? Most of the time if BIOS sees it but Windows doesnt it's not a hardware issue, it just needs to be formatted and assigned a drive letter. Have you tried doing this in Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) ?

I figure I'll only use it for the OS and CS until I get more work and can afford a larger one for my games.
