There are definitely too many lawyers, but it's not impossible to find a job, and the overall Colorado job market is very good right now so I expect that will help.

It's kind of a perfect mini narrative for Trumpism, too. You make up a bunch of bull**** about immigrants earning a middle class income (most aren't) using dubious statistics, then you get in your truck, harass them and threaten to call ICE. Like, Trumpism is just a bunch of these guys getting together.

OK, spending a bit of time on the NR website and now I see this hilarious article: apparently, UConn is offering, no joke, counselling to students distraught by even the thought of Shapiro coming to speak at their beloved university... oy vey!

That said, I admit that article is kind of clickbaity, since I was at an American university within the last couple of years, and I received a lot of silly emails from official university organizations about, well, pretty much every little petty issue. I guess that's academia for you.

If I were a student at UConn I could certainly do that. But at my university, I mostly responded to such non-sense by tossing these nothingburger walls of text into the trash bin where they belong, or simply taking a moment to chuckle at the sheer volume of minutia that (apparently) occupies university staff.

And giving someone a hard time because they were a virgin until they married at 24? Or treating it as a fault that someone would wait until marriage before having sex? Something about that seems like liberal condescension towards religious people (to me, anyway).
