The only way you people will ever change my mind is convencing me gay is good is if you prove to me there is no God.

Have you ever read the Bible? I would say that if you are a good Christian, then I would want to stray as far away from Christianity as I possibly could.

The original topic at this point is a little extremely lost, but... I have an anecdote about it anyway.

In the early-mid 90s I went to a catholic grade school run by nuns, brothers, etc. Everyone wore a little uniform and couldn't say swear words and so on.

One day I was mad at some kid and I called him a homo [I will use age as an excuse, I was like 9]. The teacher overheard and he came over [wearing all black with the little white catholic collar thing] and as my punishment made me look up homosexual in the dictionary, think about it, and then tell him why I called the kid that. I didn't know why. Other kids older than me had used the word and so I used it, trying to be cool or acceptable or something. The teacher tried to explain to me that the word had no inherent negative meaning until we give it that meaning.

Strange coming from a catholic priest. Anyway, read whatever you want to into it... could be latency on his part or a surprisingly ironic acceptance on the part of the catholic church or at least that one priest.

So.. um.. back to flaming I guess.

I'm going to ask if you can at least not dislike gay people. It's not their fault that no one's given them a reason that applies to them that homosexual behavior is bad.

All right, I'm going to end for tonight with a link from another website. It's a thread where gay people talk about some of the things that have been done to them because they're gay. Physical and sexual assault by people trying to get them to rethink their ways. I recommend it to everyone, but I have to also warn that there's some bad language and pretty disturbing stuff:

So basically we can get rid of you by telling you we're gay?

Honey, I am so gay I make those Queer Eye guys look like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwar... the Terminator guy.

In fact, I completely live up to exactly what your impression of a gay person is!:

- I dress like a woman. I wear dresses, bras. Hell, even tampons! And let me tell you, that ain't comfortable!
- I flame more than you, Nauree. In fact, it's been scientifically discovered that my wrist muscles are so completely non-existent that I have to just poke my keyboard with a pen because my hands are just flopping about.
- I have raped 47... no, 48, straight men in the last week. The last was while I was typing this post! I just can't help myself! I also make certain to check out the *** of every single male I ever come across, just as a point of pride.
- Incidentally, all 48 have since turned gay, because it's like a disease that is transmitted as a similar fashion as the aliens in "Alien". Even the transmission is frighteningly similar...
- My taste in music runs exclusively to Madonna and Kylie Minogue. I don't even know what a guitar is!
- I have never pronounced the phoneme "s" in my entire life. For some reason a "th" comes out. No idea why.
- My voice naturally bottoms out at about high C. It's high point can shatter the eardrums of dogs.

So, can you go now? Please?

Through human history, heterosexuals had families and lineage and comradery and all that. By default, this makes them successful. Family, lineage, and friends is basically the root definition of success.

It's not accurate to say that homosexuals are failures because heterosexuals are successes.

The deal is that the many and the powerful are heterosexual, and the few are... not. Instead, they live by a principle completely opposite from one of the fundamentals of human society.

Like, pretend there's some group of people in some obscure little country who raise their children in cages of dimensions 4'x4'x4' untill the age of twelve.

We're assuming they make it out alive consistently.

Just think about it - while it may technically work, that's not at all like the rest of society does it, so of course it's going to be interpreted as wrong.

Discuss.

Also - Nauree, just shut up. Seriously.
You need to shut up because everyone is against you on this and you're obviously not going to win.
You also need to shut up because this isn't your thread, it's Wolfy's, and it's not about what you think about gay, it's about some kid who got busted for using the word 'gay' in school.
Thirdly, you need to shut up because, knowing you, you're going to get yourself banned in short order if you keep it up.

Seriously now. I'm not trying to gouge at you or anything, it's the truth and you know it. Surrender to the truth, dude.

Yeah, but you have to assume there is some absolute scale of good to evil. In any rational mind, homosexuality is not as evil as murder because murder forever ends the life of someone, whereas homosexuality has... absolutely no effect on anyone that is not engaging in it.

Reading the article, there's no telling whether Marcus was actually punished for using the word "gay" to describe his mother's sexual orientation or if the punishment was for "ordinary student disturbance" as the superintendent put it. If it's the former, the school might want to apologize. In any case, the fuss seems excessive.

Nauree... You said you canned a friend for playing an MMORPG?

That is seriously sad. You are a fickle little person. Seriously, how old ARE you? because you seem to making thoughts on things you know little about.

Go back to that question asked earlier. If you had a best friend that you knew for years, you played together in the kiddy pool when you were 3. and today he tells you he's gay. You would suddenly just stop talking to him? not be near him at all?

Thats whats wrong with the world today. ppl feel they can open up to you, feels they can trust you with a big secret and you abandon them? could to imagine the lonleyness of that? the hurt feelings? the thoguht that a trusted friend for many years simlply abandons you because they prefer others?

thats sad, and I seriously pity you, i pitty you if you would simply dump a friend for being gay, and certainly pity you for dumping a friend over something like an MMORPG. It's his prefrence to play the game. how does this effect you? why should YOU care if HE wastes HIS money on a game, thats no reason to dump him.
