calendar? eh... i donno, the only thing that comes to mind is that one news letter "The Massassi Calendar, well, it seemed like a good idea at the time(in refrence to the 8 or so girls we have here)"

HL2 would be a great focus game

and we must definatally save the christmas/holiday logo contest, and other massassi oddities anyone with half a brain can contribute to.

I could help with manageing a morrowind style games section(ie. massively single player games).

I could get permission, or ask authors to post their mods on this site(not the ones with nudity).

Perhaps you could sell Massassi Webspace. It could cost 5 bucks initially, and 2 bucks every month... and you could get a few megs of webspace and an e-mail address. It would be a nice little benefit for people of the community.

Here're a few more cents:

Expansion is a possibility, but I think it should be done with caution. You can do a few things well, or you can do many things. Spreading yourself too thin is not good.

Also, as Brian said, any ventures should be ones that Brian, or whoever he chooses to head one up, are truly interested in. Half-hearted efforts won't succeed.

There are some people here that rack up posts like they're going out of style yet I wouldn't trust them to moderate an argument between toddlers. There are also people here who only post now and then but exhibit a great deal of maturity.

I said earlier that it would be a good idea for the site to allow something else to be measured aside from post-count. I think the following list should be considered (even if only momentarily):

Post count
Threads started
Times banned
Times "Trolled"
Threads closed (Mods/admin only, of course!)
Massassi-supported games owned
Screenies posted (from mods/maps)
Maps built
Mods built.

I think with the above, the site could alleviate the problem of the value placed on post count.
