Why are squirrls on islands?
2006-01-06, 9:30 PM #201
I think Jon is more amused that he made such ridiculous claims in such a way that it was implied (or even explicitly stated) that he was so right and would always defend them. Yet when presented with overwhelming evidence to the contrary, he's further away from this thread than a fat kid from a treadmill.

He thinks it's false. Leave it at that. Stop trying to convince him to see your ways, and leave him be.

But they aren't his ways, and they aren't ways, and they certainly aren't ways to *see*!

Knowledge is not a democracy.

And I disagree about 'leaving it at that'. This is dangerous. He'll tell his defenseless kids, like his peers have done before to him. This can't gain momentum (or even more).

Either you registered just to tell me that I'm immature, or you're SF_GoldG_01 trying to respond to the thread without having to respond to the points he promised to.
I think it's pretty damn funny no matter who you are.

I stand corrected, Emon.

And no, I'm not SF_GoldG_01.

Ah, one of his church friends.

Threads like these are the not the best first post threads.

Apart from the still standing chromosome fusing challenge to SF Gold, I'd like to issue a challenge to Obi Kwiet in which he explains

-how feathers probably evolved
-how the transition fish->amphibian probably happened

Can be really short (I'm close to exams and long texts make me want to ****ing vomit in someone's ear)

Feathers came from really hairy ticks that landed on things and then got stuck.

It seems we've effectively removed him from the forums.

The question is, do we continue to bump, or better yet, bookmark the thread and the next time goldy shows up we all just post links back here to subtly remind him of what needs to be done.

Ah wait, that would involve thread revival.

*Bump*

I say we just sticky it.

Stickying the thread is way too easy. Manually bumping it has a personal touch, you know?
2006-01-10, 6:55 AM #219
Gah. I skipped this thread when I saw it earlier. Now all the fun's gone already.

202 hours later and I'm still waiting for SF_GoldG_01 to respond.

This is great.

Edit: Here are some fun comparisons.
In the time it's taking SF_GoldG_01 to respond to this thread, you could:

  • Watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy 18 times.
  • Play through Final Fantasy VII 5 times.
  • Play through Fable 50 times.
  • Read the Bible twice.
  • Walk 628 miles.
  • Go to Cancun and do tequila shots with a loose college co-ed.

Probably one of those, either he started studying the bible and won't return until he remembers every single sentence, OR he walked away in shame, OR he stopped trolling and went to Cancun to do tequila shots with a loose college co-ed :D

Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Go for the books. You can finish the entire trilogy twice before there's a comment from Goldyboy.
