Also a quick tip for Spiral. If you do intend to eat it, I suggest marinating it first. Preferably with a fine Raid, but any old insecticide will do. Not only will it stop the squirming on the way down, but also gives it more zest!

You dont marinate with Raid. You do it with a fine wine-vinegarette and garlic mix. mmmm mmmm 8-leg lickin good.

(And its no insect, its an arachnid. Perhaps you should stay out of this one...)

My dad got bit on the knee by a black widow and he was out of work for a week recovering from it...

I haven't read the rest of the thread, yet. But the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture was that you should eat it.
To this day I've eaten every black widow I came across and I feel great.

That's not a black widow. Black widdows are shiny, black, very creepy looking and kill 200 people a year. Also I hate spiders.
