So uh... GTA4.

The last trailer was released thursday (Link) and it looks like this could quite possibly be the best game EVER. Just this free-roam gameplay for MP could do it. Hell roaming around Liberty with 16 people doing whatever you want sounds freaking awesome.
The achievements for the 360 version appear to have been leaked (Link)

crackdown is the only good city sim sandbox bullcrap that has ever been, all the other gta games after 2 were awful.

peace.

I hate to agree with TE but it does look/sound pretty damn awesome.
nope.

Definitely going to get it at some point. But "best game ever"? Wow, stellar job being a 7th grader.

He clearly meant "Best game evar".

Also Worth Noting: GTA with an actual new engine instead of the same one they've been using for half a decade.

Don't you mean, "stellar job being like almost everyone else on the internet"? Cuz, that's more like it. He just didn't say EVAR.

I can't wait for this GTA, it is looking so good.
And I don't just mean graphics (although to have a GTA with great graphics comes as a bit of a shock) and I don't just mean physics (but oh my god the physics... can't wait to run people over) I mean everything.
Storyline, gameplay, etc, etc.

The more I hear about this game the better it gets. With every article I read I e-gasm a little in my pants.
I know I sound very fanboy here, but when a game looks this good I don't give a crap.

I was going to, but then we got us a nice PS3.
So yay.

I'm playing through GTA:SA for the first time.

The plane controls are touchy as hell and are driving me NUTS (and this is after I turned off Fly with Mouse which makes it unplayable when it's on).

2008-03-29, 8:54 PM #16
Mouse flight takes a little getting used too.
Remember BF1942?

Yeah, I stopped playing the missions once I hit the required flying ones.

I found flying in San Andreas to be muchos easier using the first person view inside the cockpit than the 3rd person. If you haven't, try that

You need a good joypad.

It's IMPOSSIBLE with the keyboard.

Flying's easy on the ps2. And yeah, less than a month away. My stepbrother and I can't wait. GTA series is number one on our list of favorite games.
2008-03-29, 10:21 PM #22
You mean flyings easy on the ps2 controller

I stopped caring a long time ago. I could play it with a 360 controller if I wanted to, but I've lost interest now. Might as well just wait for GTA4.
2008-03-29, 10:47 PM #24
BTW the new pic for day 28 (I plan on linking a new one every day) is IN GAME.
2008-03-29, 10:50 PM #25
You say that like it's a big deal...
GTA cut scenes use in-game graphics anyway.
It's like with the latest trailer, 75% of it is gameplay footage, the rest is cut-scene, but you can't tell the difference.

Tib... it all looks amazing =p

Vincent... it's a game. I don't approve of pretty much anything I do in games.

I didn't really like GTA:SA, but I'm looking foward to this. It's the only reason I'm hanging on to my 360 - which will probably RROD on me come release day... :P

When's the PC version being released? Hated buying the earlier editions of GTA twice (once on PS2, then again on PC).

GTA 4 looks nice. but saints row was pretty fun and they are making a saints row 2

Saints Row was ok, as far as GTA rip-offs go, it was one of the better ones.
Still has nothing on then actual GTA games though.

BuuBox: no info on pc version yet, in fact theres a lot of speculation about it not coming at all. It's been a loooong time since rockstar has brought anything to the pc.

I was pretty capable with a keyboard. It is touchy, but not impossible.

Yeah, I struggled with it for so long but I did finally get the flying missions. At the end of it, I completely lost the ability to drive and I struggled far more with the 'driving lesson' missions.

What have they done since GTA:SA that matters enough to have a PC version?

I cannot do the driving lesson missions with a keyboard. Also, driving in general sucks without an xbox controller for the PC.

I'm excited about this, but I'll be waiting for the PC release. I don't have a PS3 or 360 (it's coming out for 360 too, right?)

I think so.
