Ladies and gentlenerds of Massassi, I come to you with a question. A question about one of our most historic members, Joncy. What is this question you ask? I will tell you. I will ask you the question. How does Jon`C know everything

Here are a paltry few samples of the many subjects on which Jon`C has demonstrated his expert knowledge:
-World Politics
-Economics
-Programming
-Physics
-Cooking
-Insults
-Relationships

How is this possible? How can one man know so much about so many things? I want you all to share your ideas.

I think Jon`C is actually a group of users who create posts by consensus and then have the grumpiest guy type them in.

It's not about what you know, it's about how quickly you can use the internet to educate yourself about something so you can then go on forums and argue about it.

He's probably just interested in anything and everything, and invests a lot of his spare time in educating himself by reading up on things online, in magazines/newspapers, and in books. Add to this what he's learned and learns at school and a good memory, and you have a living, walking, typing databank.

He's probably learned cooking by doing it himself, as that's the best way.

Hey look, we didn't even need Jon`C to answer this question.

It's my belief that he has no job, and lives in his mom's basement. He uses his resulting free time reading wikipedia articles all day and pondering clever ways of insulting people while eating Hot Pockets.

Jon C - three questions on which I'm truly lost.

1/ Cancer biology proposes two main models of carcinogenesis (as you know :D) :
-Stochastic/traditional model: the initial transforming event can occur in any cell.
-Hierarchical/stem cell model: only a small subpopulation of cells (cancer stem cells) have the potential of initiating and expanding tumor. These are also the cells responsible for resistance to treatment and tumor recurrence.
-(mix model: combination of the above)

Which of these do you support and why?

2/ Who has the best odds of winning the Premier League this season?

3/ Can a person know himself?

not at all, I just think that might truly be the case. I also imagine he's either incredibly ugly, or incredibly fat, thus the reason no one's ever seen a picture of him.

That said, I'll be the first to admit, Jon`C's incredibly well read. I'm not because my interests are much more specialized, and I'm pretty lazy when it comes to broadening my horizons.

What the hell, dude? What does appearance (and the fact that he chooses not to post his photo on Massassi or to start threads advertising that he's on a webcam) have anything to do with this??

Also, don't you notice anything wrong with how you say Jon`C spends his time coming up with insults when you're the only one so far making personal attacks (which are based on how you want things to be in real life) in this thread that's not even a serious thread?

You "observed" that Jon`C doesn't post his picture. That's the only "observation" to that and it's not exactly something that needed pointing out, while your suggestion that the reason for him not posting his picture might have something to do with his appearance is an extremely juvenile attempt at an insult, and (here, let's try this assumption thing) perhaps caused by him displaying to you in the past why you are, in his opinion, an idiot. Perhaps, but your fallacy is in assuming that I grant any value whatsoever to Jon`C's opinion of me, which I don't. I'm quite confident also, that he, in turn, sees no value in my opinion of him. If I'm wrong in this, then I've underestimated just how pitiful and pathetic his life really is.

That relates to nothing in what I said except the part where I played your own assumption game, whose fallacies I have no problem acknowledging. You still lack any sort of validity or point in what you called an observation.

You still haven't pointed out where the personal attacks preceding your first post in this thread are. Edit: of course, you're saying you yourself didn't make any personal attacks either. By that logic I could theorize that you're probably a mentally deficient, behaviorally impaired person who's far too irresponsible to be having children, but you would hopefully realize that it would come off as an unfounded personal attack as well.

I grant value to everyone's opinion of me, because chances are they're seeing something I'm not and I'd be a fool to ignore them.

Sometimes these opinions can be hurtful, and sometimes they may be way off the mark. But either way, I grow as a person by giving a crap.
