I'll have to wait till the 23rd (when I get paid).

Upon closer inspection, The Orange Box isn't out in the UK for 9 more days anyway, so I might just pre-order it for £40.

Wee, I'm almost done with the testing phase.

So far, the only thing I've noticed that I'm disappointed in is you can't shoot a portal through a portal like you could in Narbacular Drop. That allowed for some pretty wonky stuff. Too bad. :(

So I stayed up an finished the main part of Portal. It is a little short, but you get bonus maps/challenges afterwards. It is also absolutely hilarious. I laughed many a time. The ending is neat, and the credits are absolutely brilliant.

I still need to go back and finish the bonus maps and get all the achievements, but another day perhaps. I'm going to try a little bit of Ep2 before sleeping.

That was the very first thing I did with them.

Am I the only person who giggled/laughed every single time you did something new with a Portal?

I need to figure out how to record gifs, because normal screenshots don't do this game justice.

Apparently "Game has preloaded, you can play the moment the game is unlocked" doesn't mean anything. I go to play it this morning and the preload dialog pops up at 70%.

Now that I think about it, there are a lot of puzzles that would be made trivial by allowing a portal to be shot through a portal. I respect that design decision. But eagerly await a mod to make it so.

Narbacular Drop had that "feature", you could basically beat half the game by just standing in one place and shooting "portals" through each other.

I was hoping for a ghostbusters thing, you know, if you try to shoot one portal through another it would destroy the world. But it was still a blast.

Also, CM, where did you get an MP3 of that? I quickly scanned through my game folders and I cant seem to find a copy.

Did you already do all the bonus stages? Those are pretty tough.

I just unlocked them, but I have to go to work.

Are they challenging to figure out? Or just frustrating?

I just thought the puzzles were all going to be mind ****s, and they really aren't. :/
