"Tom Brady, take off the skirt and put on a pair of slacks"

A series of BS calls against the ravens today. 2 roughing the passer calls, one of which was called when Suggs didn't even touch Brady. A unsportsmanlike conduct call against the COACH? Last time I checked every single person on both sidelines is yelling like crazy, not to mention the 80,000 people in the stadium. Intentional grounding calls against Flacco outside the pocket, while Brady doesn't get a whistle inside the pocket? And the ravens still almost beat the Pats if not for a terrible dropped pass in the final seconds.

BS game was BS.

Yeah, we were watching the Pats game and were also railing against the refs for the calls on the QB. It's not Brady's fault directly, but obviously his injury last year prompted these extra precautions that would seem to make a D-Lineman's job even harder. You don't see these rules in place for WR's, or RB's, so I guess their careers and livelihood aren't as important as the Golden Boy?

Ah, Bengals almost bungled a freebie. Won against Cleveland in the last 7 seconds of overtime with a field goal. That whole game was a joke.

Rodney Harrison is forever awesome for that quote and calling out Tom Brady like that.

Welp. My Chargers are looking sucktackular as usual against real teams. Oh we can beat up the scrubs any day of the week but against teams like Steelers, Colts, Pats, Ravens, we stink it up.

Turner has no confidence in the running game. Which is sad because Sproles and LT can do things esp. Sproles. The O-Line isn't creating the holes needed for our RBs.

There's a distinct lack of the Golden Boy in the thread title.

Brett Farve playing with injuries mentioned earlier? Don't see how that matters. Even without arms or legs he'd still be the best torso in football.

Man....the Packer's offensive line is looking so incredibly amateur right now. I'm pretty sure if they played a middle school team they'd be picking up at least a couple sacks. Something seriously wrong there

Well..

Favre pretty much dominated last night. Alot of people are saying that Green Bay probably regrets not signing him, but I honestly think he would have continued to play mediocre if he had stayed with them. His game is right up there with guys half his age. Damn impressive.

I agree that Favre played EXTREMELY well last night. The thing about their offense is that it's really not to keen on the huge 50 yard bombs, and instead they run a pretty much standard west coast offense. Even if Favre was 50 years old, he'd still be able to make that 5 yard dump pass (I contest that Tavaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels could do that as well, however). What is impressive is his decision-making more than anything else.

This isn't to say that Rodgers isn't good too. At this point, I'd still have Rodgers over Favre (although he does need to get that ball out quicker). It was pretty clear that about 80 or 90% of these sacks on Rodgers are not his reluctance to throw it out, but the O-Line which is just god god awful. Frankly I'm still glad we got rid of Mr. Diva, even if he is playing well. Instead of thinking about Thompson being a ******* to Favre (which isn't the case), we should be thinking why the hell is Ted Thompson not signing any big free agent offensive line-man. That is CLEARLY the glaring problem with an otherwise pretty damn good Packers team.

On a side note i haven't heard nor seen anything on Vick. How is he on the eagles this year and has he seen any field time? I'd be surprised if he didn't end up finishing the season for them later on since Mcnabb seems to acquire a new surgery every season.

He played for one drive. 0/2 passes, ran for 7 yards, had to punt.

Rodgers is a better quarterback than Favre right now. He threw for nearly 400 yards on a night when his offensive line couldn't keep him upright. A few times, the blocking was so bad that the plays looked like designed sacks. There's no doubt in my mind that the Packers are better off both now and in the future with Aaron Rodgers, they just need to get Chad Clifton healthy again.

BTW, how does it feel to watch Favre do that stupid dancing around/jumping/pointing in the air thing after he throws TD's against your team?

So whom do you think will go 0-16? Browns or Rams or Chiefs. I actually picked the Browns in a pool. I always try for one homer pick and they were them. Actually they had the best chance for an upset actually coming to fruition.

Couple signs of life handed to the Rams. I'd say that was less of an interception and more of Favre forgetting he plays for the Vikes and not the Rams.

If Kansas City beats Dallas I'm going to die of laughter.

-Edit: Nevermind. Dallas just got a lucky TD at 2:16 remaining in the 4th.

I don't care one way or another? Everyone celebrates? Did you actually let that get to you or something? He deserved to do it after torching us

That Bengals/Ravens game was great today! I was lucky enough to find a pub here over in England that plays some select games, and they were showin this one. Was a lot of fun. I was really impressed by Palmer actually. It may have seemed like statistically he wasn't that great, but I think most importantly he did a real good job of avoiding sacks and stepping up in the pocket under IMMENSE pressure

Funny how you say that. I absolutely despise Favre. I think he is a whiny ***** who is obviously out to somehow get revenge on us, even though he doesn't realize at all that unless he wins a Super Bowl, we win. There was no reason for him to really go to Minnesota unless he wanted to play us. He already ran a coach out of town in New York Jets and by the end had the whole team against him. It's obvious he's a pretty egotistical. Nothing would've pleased me more than to see our defense just crucify him on the field. Unfortunatly, our team didn't show up that game (except for Rodgers).

But that's character. He still can obviously play, and again, if you actually let his celebrating after scoring a touchdown (which every NFL player does, usually) get to you, that's sad. In the grander scheme of things, him running around with his fingers pointed in the air is pretty tame compared to most other players in the league. I'd still rather have many other QBs over him, but he can still obviously play. You need to be able to separate the character from the player. He damn well deserved to run around like a lunatic and celebrate after throwing for 250+ and 3TDs in a near flawless game. I think it just pisses you off more because of how many times you saw it when the Packers played the Bears (what was he, like 21-9 vs the Bears or something?) :)

Did you pick the Pats straight up, or did you have to give up 3.5 points to pick them? Because if it's the latter, you got what you deserved. :v:

Yea it got pretty tiring seeing him do that against some of the worst teams in our history against 2 of the most inept coaches ever seen (Jauron is still proving it in Buffalo) before we finally get some people to come in here and own him for his last 4 years.

McNabb was pretty awesome today. Vick got some play time, but he is nowhere near as good as McNabb and the wildcat plays have not been particularly effective.
