In the Beta there was a stack of crates you could "destroy". Basically they just broke into 8 smaller crates. So... no, not really any destructible crate objects.
Getting the Elephant onto said Platform (even though I'm having trouble visualizing what you're suggesting) would be next to impossible. You're not supposed to be able to flip it at all under normal circumstances. Clearly putting 30+ Trip Mines under it isn't normal. It also moves at roughly 3 miles an hour. I haven't tried, but I'm pretty sure you can RUN faster than it can travel. And it seems to hate small hills, won't climb them.
Even if it DID all of that, Trip Mines have a lifespan of about 2 minutes. If nothing has triggered it after that long, it self detonates. So there's a problem there as well. I can't just leave my explosive armed ordinance laying about indefinitely.
I'm virtually POSITIVE it can be done, because I remember the Bungie guys talking about it awhile back in a Weekly Update or their Podcast. Though, now that I think about it, it could've been a glitch or a Physics issue that affected gameplay outside of Forge, so it was fixed.
I need timed explosives. The closest thing I have are Fusion Cores, but I'm not sure they'd pack enough punch to keep it airborne, and I'd have to do ALOT of tinkering with their respawn timers to get explosions staggered.
Now, if I wasn't working on a Budget and only able to stick down about 20 Fusion Cores, this would be even easier to plan. Really hoping they patch it and remove the item limit and leave us with just the Budget.
