Yes that's right, basically you guys just submit what the next action should be and I'll pick the best one, I should also mention that it's a very good idea to look before you walk. I'm also entirely making this up as we go so don't expect a well thought out and nuanced storyline. let's begin:

C:\CD GAMES\RINCO_

You awake in your room, the morning sun comes through a WINDOW to your EAST, you can't see anything else due to glare off the WINDOW.
Directly NORTH of you is a DOOR.
To your WEST is a wall, with a BOOKSHELF of assorted BOOKS.
To your SOUTH is nothing.

Example: INSPECT DOOR, INSPECT BOOKSHELF, INSPECT BOOKS, INSPECT WINDOW, OPEN DOOR, etc. thankfully I'm a bit smarter then the average command line interpreter of yesteryear.

(Tibby, you're going to have to give us a pretty good reason to believe you'll create an engaging narrative and/or game, or else there's little reason not to try and resurrect Katzenjammer instead.)

You take a look at the BOOKS. Along with several dozen science fiction books of varying age there is an ATLAS a CHEMISTRY TEXTBOOK and a book on ELECTRONICS REPAIR.
While looking at the books the room shakes and they all fall to the floor.

Although old and missing pages, the ATLAS still has a few useful pages like a map of your local area (Northern Alberta), and a list of major roadways in the area.
From the map you find that there is a TOWN half an hour away, a FARM 20 minutes away, and that you are currently HOME. There is nothing of value nearby your home.
The ground shakes again and this time it's powerful enough to break the window.

You shove the books into your pack, hopefully there was nothing else you needed.
You exit your house, taking a look around you see nothing in all directions of note, further north is TREES and going east to west is a ROAD, to the EAST is the FARM on the map, and to the west is the TOWN. You have a CAR parked along the road, but it's front tires have fallen into a sinkhole.
The ground shakes again and the house shifts, it's now halfway into the ground.

You walk EAST to the FARM, on the way there are several more quakes and you see a few abandoned cars, but no signs of anyone around.
Once you get there you take a look around, there's a FARMHOUSE, a BARN, an ABANDONED CAR, and a COW.
Further in any direction is nothing but grain.

You open the DOOR to the FARMHOUSE and are greeted by a SHOTGUN that goes off, it seems like it was on a string and (thankfully) aimed rather poorly.
Looking inside you see a STAIRCASE a LIVINGROOM and a KITCHEN.

You sit on the COUCH and read the NEWSPAPER while small tremors continue to shake the house, the headline reads "Nuclear Mining operation in Fort McMurray continues despite protests". There is also some fluff about a local cat parade, an article on gang violence, and the classifieds. The rest of the headline article seems to have been taken out. You also put the SOCK on the BOTTLE but just end up with a damp sock and a little less water.
From the front page you discern, assuming the newspaper is today's, that the date it October the 29th 2022.
The tremors have stopped for the moment, although you can hear a noise getting louder coming from the NORTH.

You leave the FARMHOUSE and walk to the north for a bit before seeing what the noise was.
It's a helicopter, moving extremely fast towards the SOUTH, just as soon as you figure out what it is it passes over your head.
There are LEAFLETS falling now, dropped by the helicopter.

You pick up a LEAFLET and read it, for some reason most of them are slightly burned.
"This is an official notice from the Canadian Government: All citizens of the area within 300km of Fort McMurray are hereby ordered to evacuate to their designated evacuation centers in Edmonton or Calgary, any person found within the evacuation area will be liable to harsh penalties under Section 14a of the Nuclear Engineering act. For any questions please contact your local RCMP detachment."
There's an address for an evacuation center in Edmonton, but no indication of any way to get there from here. You pocket the LEAFLET for future reference.
While walking back to the FARMHOUSE there is another tremor, and you find the cow gone.

You look over the BINOCULARS, finding nothing.
The serial number is BX-497 and the are made by the Sinco Corporation out of North Libya though.

You go back inside the FARMHOUSE, having at this point gotten used to the grounds constant rumbling. You inspect the STAIRCASE and find that it has 20 stairs, it is also carpeted with the ugliest beige carpeting you have ever seen.
It's so ugly you throw up all over them.
You stand at the top of the VOMIT COVERED STAIRS, there are 3 ROOMS up here, with no distinguishing factors.

As a reminder your inventory now consists of:
EMPTY BOTTLE, DAMP SOCK, MAP, ATLAS MAP, BINOCULARS, LEAFLET, KNIFE.
