Leaving the FARMHOUSE you enter the BARN, you open the door carefully this time and avoid another shotgun blast.
Inside is a JEEP that has no wheels and is up on bricks, a TOOLBOX, and a GAS TANK.

You take the GAS TANK and shove it in your pack, thankfully it's screwed on tight and not likely to spill. It's heavy though.
In the tool box is: MISC TOOLS, CAR JACK, ROPE (Why that's in the box is anyone's guess) and a PORN MAGAZINE.

Exit BARN, travel to TOWN.

You take the ROPE, and the MAGAZINE and shove them both in your pack, which is now getting very heavy.
You walk towards the town, noticing a forest fire along the way and a fog coming in from the north.
You get to the town, which has an enormous CHASM running north-south splitting the town down the middle, it goes on for quite a ways and you see no way to cross.
On the EAST side of the CHASM you can get to a STORE, an RCMP STATION, a FIRE STATION, and a large building that appears to be a TOWN HALL with a statue in front.
Along the road are several ABANDONED CARS. You see no evidence that there is anything alive around. The sun is coming down and the fog has rolled in.

You enter the STORE, inside there are a few empty shelves. The door has been broken off it's hinges and the window is shattered, there is a CASH REGISTER, a WATER TANK, and a TV still remaining, the TV is off.
You don't know who you are, other then the fact that you are human, male, and living (for the moment).

You shove your face under the water tanks faucet and drink, it's warm. you feel a bit better now but you are hungry. You also take this opportunity to fill the bottle with water.
You search the CASH REGISTER and find that it opens with a simple push of a button, you find $300 CDN inside along with a note "Evac all staff at 15:00, take what you can, forget about anything you can't carry it's insured.". You hesitate a moment before taking the cash, whoever left obviously had a chance to take it and decided not to. The ground shakes violently, knocking you to the ground. You can feel the floor sliding.

You're not sure why called the STORE a BARN, but you just manage to crawl out just before it falls into the chasm, you try to enter the FIRE STATION but the door is locked. The sun has now gone down and darkness is starting to set in, none of the streetlights are working and eerie sounds are coming from the chasm. Because of the darkness you can now see that there is a fire in the distance.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL INCREASED TO TWO, SAVE NOW?
(Note: As of this moment it's now possible for the guy to die, I've worked out how I'm going to go about it so be careful. I've also worked out an ending for this "part" at least and thought ahead a bit.)

You turn around and start to the TOWN HALL, but before you get there you find yourself suddenly back at the FIRE STATION with an eerie feeling that something terrible just happened.
(I said be careful didn't I?)

You poke yourself with the KNIFE a couple times, noting that it hurts. You're pretty sure this is accomplishing nothing so you stop.
You look at the SOCK, and then at the PORN MAGAZINE. You're pretty sure what to do here but before you can it's suddenly 5 minutes ago and you're pretty sure something terrible happened again.

You toss the PORN MAGAZINE into the CHASM, you don't hear it hit the bottom. As for the size of the CHASM, it's hard to see in the dark but you estimate it to be 50 meters wide, it appears to have gotten wider since you first got here. The depth is indeterminable but there is a light...
You find yourself, once again, back at the FIRE STATION, with a memory of having been at the CHASM and then suddenly back here. You try the door again and notice that it's not actually locked, it appears to be blocked by something. You can't move it without a tool of some sort.

There's an address for an evacuation center in Edmonton, but no indication of any way to get there from here. You pocket the LEAFLET for future reference.

You turn the RADIO on, it must run on batteries because it works. You only get static though because you don't know which frequency to tune it to.
(I'm not going to let a no-win scenario occur, and who says I didn't plan for him to do that? (I didn't))
