Wrong, Palpatine looks like he does because Mace deflects Palpatine's force lightning back at him, disfiguring his face. Palpatine can't stop the lightning and has to keep intensifying it in hopes to kill Mace, knowing what it'll do to him.

I'm a big fan of the Dark emperor series (where Palpy clones himself and transfers himself into a new body when his current body becomes too damaged to support him) so I agree with the dark side accelerated-aging idea. The EU hints at the fact that excessive use of the dark side brings on accelerated aging.

I don't have a book with me right now, but I think in Empire Strikes Back, or ROTJ the book, it talks about some of the healing, and such, and how Vader tries, but it just doesn't work. I dont' remember exactly. It's been so long. I'll have to see what I can find

If a jedi could heal himself then why does Anikan have that scar in episode 3, couldn't he just get rid of it? Or to the extreme, couldn't he just grow his limb back?

Well, nevermind.

But the answer to all questions about Episode 3 and jedi: It's a movie. If it helps the movie to have a Death Star built in a day, they'll do it. Same with force healing... how good would the movie be if jedi *never* died.

There was a clone wars novel about Jedi healers. Apparently it's one of those techniques only a few get around to learning, like battle meditation or arcane forms of saber combat.

Well who remembers in Star Wars when Obi-Wan healed Luke? He put his hand on Luke's head and Luke woke up fine, after taking a fall from the Tuskens.

And in Return of the Jedi, Luke turned invisible while he fought Vader. Why else couldn't Vader find him in the dark, then suddenly he just appears right from where Vader was looking and attacks?

He wasn't invisible...I saw him pretty clearly on the screen.

yeah, he was not invisible, he was just hiding behind a pillar and trying to use to force to conceal him from vader, thats why vader was talking about leia, he was trying to make luke lower his guard so he could sense him easier... and it worked... he got him out into the open and fighting again.

Yeah if you watch carefully.. after Luke falls down the catwalk, he must slip under it and ends up under the stairs. Vader looks for him toward the back of the room, and if you look carefully at the scenes of Luke you can tell he's under the stairs. When he yells Vader turns around (which fits with where he's looking).

I thought Yoda vs. Palpatine was going to look ridiculous, but it doesn't look that bad. By the way, if some are wondering what the background music is, its from Van Helsing.

YouSendIt's bandwidth pretty good for a while, but if the file craps out I'd like anyone else who got it from the first link to upload it again to YouSendIt.

Thank God you hear Obi-Wan talk cause you'd swear he has the worst voice ever. But when you hear Ewan's voice, you can tell what his voice will sound like more. He sounds pretty evil.

I really dont like Yoda fighting with a lightsaber. When I watch the OT I get the sense that Yoda is beyond using a lightsaber.That sence where he is clashing with Palpy in what looks like a battle of the force looks really sweet and just how i imagined Yoda would fight. Ohhhhh I can't wait!

When Exar Kun first attacked his jedi master with his lightsaber, the master blocked all of the lightsaber attacks with a.... WOODEN STAFF! If he can infuse the force into normal melee weapons i was hoping for Yoda to fight the emperor hand to hand and force to force since they both are so powerful in it :). But then again, it cuts down on defense and offense time wnen you're using the lightsaber at such high speeds.
