I didn't know that the first time through. In fact, I had absolutely
no information on the game at all, aside from it being 3rd person and an RPG of sorts.
Whole crew ended up dying because I took about 8 hours between IFF mission and Omage 4 to upgrade. Stupid me.
My first play-through (only play-through, for now), I lost Legion and Grunt. Legion was my specialist as he can hack things pretty well (but I didn't buy him the new Geth sniper D:). Sent Grunt for distraction because he was my least favorite character (although his death was still sad somehow), and because he loves killing things/seemed like a good choice as he's more or less a brute. Didn't buy him the shotgun >.<
That's what you get for not preparing the entire team for the mission >.<
Everyone was loyal except Miranda - reason I was on Jacks side during their argument was well.. who would you rather have pissed off? Someone who is specifically assigned to make sure you succeed? Or the most dangerous criminal in the galaxy? I'd rather the former be less loyal to me than the later, who can possibly sabotage my entire mission (can that even happen?). Didn't let her do anything.
Samara was my shield. In order to avoid exacerbating the problem between Jack and Miranda, I chose her. Still don't know if that could've caused any sort of betrayal or whatever, but I approached the game as realistically as I possible could - getting into the role as authentically as possible.
Dear god do I love the sniper rifle. Nearly never miss a shot with the damn thing, so wicked. The little slow-mo at the beginning of a zoom is brilliant. Used it every chance I could. (Infiltrator).
Anyway, so freaking awesome.
The reaper totally scared me to death. Looked into it's eyes and nearly whimpered. The funky "ducking" thing it does just freaks the hell out of me. Very cool.. and unexpected.
Also: there's a few game-mutual songs in ME2 (like SimCity and NFS.)
For example, the song that plays in the Afterlife club.
SimCity is in the gunshop on the top floor of the Citadel, say my sources.
Thought that was some fun information to share.
Right, so I better get started on my next few play-throughs (different classes, Paragon and Renegade, etc.)
