Steam Release Celebration Level Contest Mega Thread

How, exactly, did you get those textures anyway?

For that matter, where the heck does anyone get their textures

I should post some screenshots of Hysteria... :ninja:

Yeah, I wrote the cogs for that.

Somewhere I have a level that is nothing but a massive grid of randomly generated dflt.mat terrain.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Some of those are stock JA textures. Some are stock JA textures with a rusty grunge added. Some are from DF2Mod, with a rusty grunge added. Some I made myself FOR the DF2Mod (And then I added a rusty grunge).

This thread is super exciting.

Cool stuff JM, the textures and design remind me of an AvP2 level. Although the design is more intricate than the AvP2 level haha.

Oh man if you people aren't going to finish these levels :argh:

Also, Echoman's map reminds me of this Ymir duel map I've had hanging around my JA folder(s) since 2004. Can't seem to find it anywhere in the web anymore (haven't looked). Didn't remember that I had some version of Desaturate as well. Hm.

FGR, I don't know if I'm thinking of the same map, but it does look familiar.

Well well well. I changed my contest project. The working title atm is "Gravebirds". I just spent three hours modeling a building in jed, and then two hours in making its walls so full of explosion holes that it basically looks like a bunch of walls anymore.

Meh.

Thanks for the warning Emon (No, nobody else is expected to understand this), but, I... uh. Don't think it's an issue.

Man that's one awesome duel map isn't it?

Was Ymir one of the other ones that came out of the levelsource duel map contest?

It reminds me of level 3 of JK and level 3 of DF and what JM said.
