So anyways. I discovered an AWESOME EXPLOIT in the Gladiator arena.

If you have high enough acrobatics, you can hop up onto this one section of the wall near the gates at either side. Then you can just sit up their and arrow people at your leisure.

It doesn't work on the guy I'm trying to kill now, though. He has fireballs like mine. Only they take away half of my ****ing health!

PS, I love being an arrow dork.

Sneak attack plus arrow = awesome. What's better is now that I'm apprentice level, I don't fatigue when I shoot arrows. So I can get 4 or 5 arrow out, then switch to sword and shield!

Also, I'm so damn good at being a theif.

I scored about 8000 in three runs, by breaking into the shops in the main city.


Even if the guards catch you, you can just run away and have one of the thief guild guys clear your name for pennies..

Hey Rob did you get in jail yet? At one point during developpement the devs said you could do a jail break and escape, and I wondering if that still is the case. I always thought that idea was great.

I played last night and JUST got out of the sewers. Tried to kill a guard and got hauled off.

What was your reaction when you got out of the sewers. I was disappointed by the blurriness of distance landscapes. I love this game, but indoor texturing and the immediate surroundings in forests are what takes the cake. Pop ups and distant blur-world sure suck.

The command is uGridsToLoad=7 (def. 5). You'll find the .ini in My Documents -> My Games -> Oblivion

If you set it higher you'll need a VERY powerful computer, and if set to 9, it screws up the water. (which can be fixed, but unless you're running 2 7900's in SLI, I wouldn't bother. ;))

Good news! For print screen to work for taking screenshots :

Open the ini and change bAllowScreenShot=0 to 1 then save. Then printscreen on the keyboard will work and it will save as a bitmap in your oblivion folder

Do you mean to post it on oblivion board or only for massassian viewing? I wouldn't mind hosting your pics, as long as it doesn't end eating whats left of my bandwidth. I posted 10 wallpapers on the official forums and those buggers ate half my monthly bandwidth. The administrator even had to send me a warning, lol.

I haven't felt like taking screenshots.

I'm working on a way to kill this gof damn wizard gladiator. I think I'll just get a kajillion protect magic potions and hit him with arrows from my perch spot in the arena.

You get to kill people in their sleep, and they don't even notice. Just be careful, blood will splatter everywhere and that's no fun. Also, you find this nice lookin' khajit but she only lies to you, so you do nothing to her too.

Will oblivion work on a 1.6 ghz processor?

I'm aware the minimum is 2, but will it work?

I'd like to know how to fix it, water became a bit buggy at 8 but the games running great so i need to figure it out, because it looks AWETASTIC.

Is it AMD or Intel.

And get the new Forceware drivers. I was able to turn a lot of options on/up with no performance hit. HDR is sexy.

I tried this while look at the oblivion.ini and changed the following 0's to 1 :

bUseWaterReflectionsMisc=0
bUseWaterReflectionsStatics=0
bUseWaterReflectionsTrees=0
bUseWaterReflectionsActors=0

Now characters, trees, static and other things reflect in water. And I didn't really notice a performance hit. Makes me wonder why it was taken out of the game, might be because its buggy. :s

You'll be more than fine then. A 1.6ghz AMD proc is 1900+ or so. Meaning you're almost at the min req. You'll probably be stuck at 800x600, but you'll be fine.

yay! I'munnago buy it now and if it refuses to run I will come after you.

Is this worth putting on a credit card and paying a month's interest on? :p
