It's not even a proper original mod, but rather a bunch of stuff from a ridiculous amount of different mods that I put together, often resorting to equally ridiculous methods to make it all work. One example is that every time you fire a gun, there's actually some four projectiles being fired at the same time: one for creating the bullethole upon collision with a wall, one for scoring headshots when hitting an enemy, another one for showing sprites/particles when hitting objects and yet another one for showing bullet trails when in slow motion. What's even worse is that it would also fire the four projectiles in MP, so you can imagine how much it would lag. Why didn't I just make that all into a single projectile? Because I had no idea how to do it, as my Cog knowledge basically consisted of taking chunks of code from elsewhere and praying it would work. Of course, I didn't write most of the cogs for those effects except for some (mostly unnecessary (and somewhat annoying)) extras, like the game going slowmo every time you headshot an enemy.
But then again, I was 14 at most when I made that - considering "The Dantooine Choronicles" was made by a 24 year old, I think I was doing quite well. IIRC it got quite some praise by the community at the time and I thought it was quite fun considering the limitations.
Anyway, ever since, I've moved on from taking things from other mods to taking things from other games - this is what JK looks like today
