I just realized Tracer, while he technically has a character of his own, doesn't seem very fond of using it often (or perhaps it was simply for the P&C story arc). Either case -- Tracer, and anyone who doesn't have their own feel free to write for other characters.

Really, I was just aiming to have as few active heroes in this story arc as possible, in an attempt to start a trend of small groups, but if it's keeping you all from writing, then it's a bad idea.

I drew CoolMatty also, so you all can get his overall look. He wears a cloak, unlike what you see here, I just suck at drawing them. And the staff he is using is "Staff of Tourni". Refer to the NeS character sheet for him for info on it.

For those writing for my characters, here are my only two rules for this storyline:

1. Do. Not. Write. For. Mimiru. Period. Don't even mention her. Thanks.

2. CM cannot meet Geb. I'm saving that for my post. You can bring him right up to Geb for all I care, but the actual confrontation I want to write. Geb knows what I am doing, but I don't want to explain it here, because ... it would totally ruin the surprise.

Sounds good to me. i wasn't planning to bring Mimiru in, since that whole relationship is specific to CM and so we shouldn't really mess that up. AS for Gebohq, i didn't think we were anywhere near getting up to him yet, but then again this story can throw alot of twists.

Well, everyone, I was thinking of some ideas, and Geb suggested that I post them here, since I'm not really sure how to integrate it.

Anywhos, I was thinking of a couple things.
1. the origins of the NeS
2. story:character: lot:event (as established in NeShattered)
3. a reckoning with Morthrandur, the Sepulchral Phantom.

These things are coagulating into an idea for a side story.

Okay, remember how the NeS began with an asteroid - the one in Nostradamus's prophecy? Well, what if the asteroid was but a chunk of an exploding world that was the source of all stories? This would explain how the NeS can jump between stories, plots, themes, and cliches like it does, because of the asteroid - it connects the NeS to the other stories the explosion created.

My idea is that the heroes learn of this, trace the asteroid's trajectory back to its source, where they find a black hole or something called the Smoldering Eye, which is a portal into the destroyed world of the Fey, who are the WriterGods (of which the NeS Writer God is only one) or something like that.

Also, I was thinking that Morthrandur plans to do something related to this fey world/Smoldering Eye thing. Such as using its power to conquer the world or some such. Anywhos, that's the base idea.

Thoughts? Questions? Suggestions? Confusions?

My replies (of which I hope I'm not the only one, since otherwise the two of us could have otherwise talked about this on AIM ):

-the astroid spoken of originally had an amusement park on it, as well as at least one version of The Arena on it, the former having only been written about in original thread now lost for most likely forever. I'm pretty sure the astroid was also under Gate's control (well, originally GA Thrawn, but I like to think otherwise). I'm also pretty certain the astroid was destroyed, so uh... yeah, really just semantics there, but still.

-I'm fairly certain the WriterGod is suppose to be just the NeS way of saying God, so to say there's more than one gets into even more icky topics I was generally trying to avoid in these current and upcoming story arcs.

And is the Sepulchural Phantom/Morthrandur still who I think he is? I sure hope so

On another note, I really honestly don't have plans of my own, though I suppose I should have Geb discover some more significant things and Evil Geb do stuff... though anyone else is of course free to beat me to the punch. I'll do what I can to be better and write for other characters

Well, I'm gonna be honest here, Highemp -- personally, I don't think it's a good idea to link NeS in with your Lazarus Citadel stuff. In the past when it's happened, it's always ended up being more serious and less funny. Which is not a good thing for NeS.

I dunno, I just don't like the idea of trying to cram a bunch of new characters and ideas into the story. We've just had our big giant epic serious story arc with the EeP, and what we need now are more little humourous stories, like the cool one we've got going on now.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, and I won't try to stop you if you really want to proceed. I just won't be all that enthusiastic about it, is all.

In regards to the 7 Gebs that may or may not be floating around... here's how most could be accounted for:

1 - the real, lovable, hero Gebohq
2 - Gebohq from NeShattered aka Evil Geb
3 - Qhobeg
4 - GebohqKirby (aka stunt double)
5 - a "dark" Geb that resides in the 8th dimension
6 - The Sepulchral Phantom aka Morthandur (see earlier NeS workshop notes)

I was toying with the idea that the replacements for the Protectors of the Plotfractal could be different Gebs (#2-5 plus some other one). Doesn't have to be, and the bucket of bolts Evil Geb was using could just very well have easily miscalculated the number of Gebs, so who knows? Just letting you all in on that tidbit.

Just dropping a quick note to say Highemperor and Geb, I really like where you're going with this Sepulchral Phantom/Gebohq/TLTE/NeS/etc thing. Give me a day for my reply, and if all goes well, that elusive balance of zany and epic NeS posts will be found...
