Dead? I dunno. The girl I was going to prom with started hanging out with some old friends and slipping into some old habits. Suddenly she didn't have time to do anything but smoke pot, cigs, and drink with her old buddies. So I told her to screw off, and I went to prom alone. I'm not bitter that I went stag to prom. I ended up going to prom and having a wonderful time, she stayed home and most likley got crunk. Another reason I didn't feel bad is because 30 - 40% of the people who went to prom went alone, and we're all friends, so we all hung out, danced and had a good time. Great prom overall.
Think while it's still legal.

I could never break 2 in the 800. I tried really freaking hard too. Pissed me off to no end. However I did drop my mile time to 4:40.

You're kidding. The competition must not be very strong in your state. Where I live, you'd have to run sub 4:10 to win state. My fastest mile time was right around 4:40 too. And I ran the 3200 in about 10:05 (wanted so bad to break 10, but I never did :().

I can't remember what my first mile time was. Somewhere around 6 minutes. But I don't run track, I run cross country. :p

yeah, in a 5k xc race, my first mile was usually around 4:55 to 5:15, depending on the terrain.

Actually 4:15 or less seems about right for going to state, plus my Section at which we qualify for state consists of schools from towns all consisting of 1,500 to 8,000 people. I live in the boonies.
