Do they do it during first phase over there? I vaguely remember sprinting through a photography studio and putting on the front half of a uniform and a cover, and then sprinting back out. I look at mine now and I look scared ****less and confused.

We did it at the end of second phase. I loved and hated that day with a passion. I loved it because there were no DI's around for the entire day. We spent all day getting our photos taken and getting travel arrangements for SOI in order. And yeah, you get to put on a weird hospital gown style blues jacket and such. I hated the day because that's right when I started getting really sick. I had a fever of about 102F that day and seriously just wanted to die at that point. As soon as we got back to the squad bay I started puking and the SDI put me on quarantine at the back of the squad bay. I spent the next week trying to sneak my way back into training. I made it out to BWT and our CDI saw me and lost his ****ing mind on my DI's. I got sent back to the squad bay and spent the rest of BWT on bed rest. My heavy managed to smuggle me out to the rifle range to qual on table 2, but I ended up getting dropped a few days later anyway cause they knew there was no way I would survive the crucible.

Boot is the most hilarious and weird place on the planet.

So I'm trying to decide if I should consider parting my hair. All other comments aside please, as these are just quick photos to compare hairstyles.

I would probably get my next haircut to suit a certain hairstyle. I'm open to other hairstyles as well, though I'm avoiding high-maintenance styles (read: no hair product or excessive time & effort) so please no suggestions for mohawks or the like.

It sorta blows my mind that I can't see the camera or camera person's reflection in your sunglasses. I'm sure there's a simple explanation like the camera is slightly angled. Or it's a photoshop.

Most likely because the camera he used doesn't have an IR filter. Since the tip is hot, it puts out a lot of IR, which is shown as purple on digital cameras.

It's probably a combination of that and the overly cool white balance.

@Ford: Oh my gosh you're all grown up these days.

@Geb: Second that if you part it, definitely keep the sides shorter. I'd recommend they fade and layer it so that the top can be a bit longer but the sides aren't so fluffy. Bangs I'd suggest keep them a couple inches above your eyebrows at least and see if they can't feather them off to the side a bit so the front isn't very long but it merges into the side. The part does win over just sheepdogging it over your whole face.

It's a 94 S10 pickup. Failed echeck, so i was replacing the plugs and wires.

Only a little, at least at this point. Most of what you see is simply a high forehead. However, I agree that shorter would probably be better since my plan to grow the front out doesn't seem to be working. Like I said before, I intend to get a haircut to suit the style I go for.

Rofl! Sadly, this is probably a little true too. It's partly why I'm trying to look into a hairstyle that works best with what I got. My initial plan was to grow the front out, but that doesn't seem to be happening the way I hoped, so come spring/summer, I'll likely go short hair again in some fashion.

I've lost enough that I personally go with a shaved look or a very close buzz (IE no guard on the clippers). Works wonders for me. Plus my head shape makes it work real nicely. Someone should start a "Male pattern baldness" picture thread:P
