Atleast I'm not living with my parents, working a deadend job and whoring massassi all the time.

I dunno. I'd almost say I can make more money at UPS than you can in the army, in about half as much time. I've already been offered a part time supervisor position twice.

But hey, living with my parents is way better than living with 30 other dudes because I didn't have anywhere to go because I got too old for the American Education system to baby sit me.

I seriously doubt it. Being married in the Army is pretty high paying in and of its self. However having a spouse in the Army is where it's at since you both get paid (monthly, mind you) Base Pay which is somewhere around $1500-$2000 a month for our rank, $912 in BAH(Basic Allowance for Housing), $275 for BAS (Basic Allowance for Sustenance) $150 for being Jump qualified, $150 Hazardous duty pay comes out to $5674 between the two of us. That's with a highschool education and being in the Army just over a year.

And all I have to do is Get up every morning, go to PT, come to work at 9AM and work until 3-5PM. Do what I'm told and jump one time every 3 months.

Plus my pay goes up based on promotions and time in service/grade.

Also, I did not attend public school at all. I was homeschool from age 4 until 15, at which time I graduated highschool and went to college for 2 years.

And the the only time I live with "30 other dudes" is on deployment. Back in the rear we have barracks with three guys to apartment. Each Apartment has 3 bedrooms, a shower, a common area and a kitchen. One of my roommates was a Sergeant, but he lived off post so he was never there. My other roommate was also barely ever there, so it wasn't really that bad.

In general, I'd trust a home-schooled person with just about anything over a public-schooled one.

Ineptitude.

It all depends on how someone has been home-schooled. The majority of parents who take their child's education seriously will understand the need for socializing and thus try and involve their children in sports, band practice, community programs, etc. I was home-schooled for a year and my parents didn't take it seriously. My brother and I never left the house except for one summer they set us up to take golf lessons. Somehow, through playing with Star Wars action figures, we got a decent enough education to pass with flying colors once we were enrolled in a public school. My parents were not a good example of how to home-school children, but I've known plenty of people who were home-schooled and are some of the most social little butterflies out there.

The lesson from all this? Don't stereotype. :awesome:

Well, if you're any indication, we could probably just use the same graph and replace "Scaled Scores" with "Social Aptitude".

Also, I went to a public school my senior year and did quite well. I made a lot of friends and was well liked and respected. It's not hard, really. The trick is to be honest, kind, and considerate, not learning how to participate in the popularity/coolness contest for twelve years. The socially inept are the people who try to show off all the time and are too self absorbed to realize how badly they fail at it.
2007-06-19, 3:55 PM #3380
I'll be honest - I've met very few people who have been home schooled who aren't annoying as hell. But I know very few homeschooled kids so that doesn't really say much. As long as the parents get their kids involved in something else that includes kids their age, I don't see what would be wrong with it.

no recent pictures, but I did finally get a haircut

Oh, you think social aptitude has to do with how much you know about music? That explains a lot.
