I seriously doubt it. Being married in the Army is pretty high paying in and of its self. However having a spouse in the Army is where it's at since you both get paid (monthly, mind you) Base Pay which is somewhere around $1500-$2000 a month for our rank, $912 in BAH(Basic Allowance for Housing), $275 for BAS (Basic Allowance for Sustenance) $150 for being Jump qualified, $150 Hazardous duty pay comes out to $5674 between the two of us. That's with a highschool education and being in the Army just over a year.
And all I have to do is Get up every morning, go to PT, come to work at 9AM and work until 3-5PM. Do what I'm told and jump one time every 3 months.
Plus my pay goes up based on promotions and time in service/grade.
Also, I did not attend public school at all. I was homeschool from age 4 until 15, at which time I graduated highschool and went to college for 2 years.
And the the only time I live with "30 other dudes" is on deployment. Back in the rear we have barracks with three guys to apartment. Each Apartment has 3 bedrooms, a shower, a common area and a kitchen. One of my roommates was a Sergeant, but he lived off post so he was never there. My other roommate was also barely ever there, so it wasn't really that bad.
If my smoking bothers you, don't breathe.
