I've been waiting for the price to not be insane to get oblivion (GOTY is still 60$ around here).

Ah. I forget the last cut. It went from like 45 mins to 30 mins to 25 mins to 10 mins or something crazy.

I figure they plan to release a new special addition adding an extra minute of footage each time.

Either way, I'll prolly pick it up soon too.

In Canada Oblivion is $60? If you could paypal I'd buy it and friggin' send it to you.
2009-12-01, 10:44 PM #1044
Prices in Canada are only a couple of bucks more than in the US, that really shouldn't be necessary...

GOTY on 360 is 30$
40$ PS3
20$ used on 360
32.99 in a 2 pack with Bioshock for PC...
(all prices CAD)

and all I checked was futureshop.ca... I dunno where the heck 60$ came from

Bought it when it was $5 on Steam. Played it recently.

Good lord, why is there so much bloom indoors? I can understand outdoors with the sun, but ****, full force color overload while running in buildings. Combine that with running and I start feeling nauseous.

Acer 24" monitor for $169. For that price, I love it.

Oh, right, this thread.

I bought another two 2TB hard drives, because I just can't get enough of cheap mass storage. Thanks, Newegg, for having Black Friday deals available in Canada too.

Also a ton of stuff on Steam - the THQ pack, Mirror's Edge, CoD:MW2, the Grand Theft Auto pack, and Dead Space.

Edit: My three new lasers finally came in too! I ordered them back in the beginning of November and it took a while for them to be processed out of Hong Kong. Anyway there's a 200 milliwatt red laser, a 200 milliwatt green, and an 80 milliwatt violet. They are quite shiny :D I'll have to get some pictures of them in action at some point.

Which one?

I was told that the Kaplan was good for english/writing/vocab and Princeton Review was good for math

You were told right. I helped a friend go through the Kaplan for weeks and weeks and weeks.... and she decides not to go to grad school after getting amazing scores... I don't talk to her anymore.

You should probably punch her in the face. I mean, really.

I got the Kaplan Book on GMATs, went through the whole book, then decided not to take the test because I
A: didn't have money for grad school and
B: didn't know what I wanted to go to grad school for.
I might go try it again one day.

At any rate, it seemed like a good book.

I don't have the money to go to grad school yet either, but I know for sure that I'm going at some point, one way or another, so I figured it would be best to take the GRE's sooner rather than later, while I'm still (at least somewhat) in the swing of the school/test situation

My friend was offered a massive scholarship by Ohio State University. She declined to go because she didn't want to deal with more school. She could have gotten her masters in psychology and gone on to a doctorate... but instead she decided a bachelors was good... which is why, to the last of my knowledge, she is still working at a movie theater.

Here is a picture of my four newest hard drives.

Remember, you're looking at eight terabytes here.

Edit: and here's action shots of my three new lasers :D

Edit2: The bottom one is actually a violet laser, but due to limitations in the digital camera it looks blue. I'm not even sure an LCD - or a CRT for that matter - would be able to properly display the colour.

In real life it's about the same perceived colour as a blacklight; I tried photoshopping the approximate colour but it's definitely outside the spectrum that a computer monitor (at least an LCD) can display.

I made a thread about this topic a while back, when I got my first violet laser: http://forums.massassi.net/vb3/showthread.php?t=53944
