i already own a schecter 7 string (it's the loomis model) and it's brilliant. the blackjack is all mahogany with the ebony board though so it's going to be very dark with bright attack. my 7 string is ash and maple board and is moderatly bright with a really snappy attack.
the stock pickups are **** but i hate EMG's and everything active so take that with a grain of salt.... the blackouts are supposedly closer to passive tones, but as soon as i get the money i'm swapping them out for a pair of

I'm curious to see what kind of string gauge i'll be using for the 8th string. calculations for a flat tuning brings me to around 85 :D.
