The best tread pattern I found on ice was on Matterhorns and some random pair of boots I was issued in Alaska that had a similar if not identical tread pattern. I had a pair of Wolverine work boots that worked great too. Let us know how yours do.

I like how that band has one of those comically stereotypical metal band logos that get included in memes.

some bands change their logo more often than most people change their oil, darkthrone has stuck with the same logo while shifting the music style...

I bought a frigidaire dehumidifier and was notified by amazon two days later that there was a recall due to them overheating and catching fire.

gbk fyi the acx2.0 evga 1060s are having the same fire+explosion problems as the acx3.0 evga 1070s and 1080s. You might want to nip that in the bud.

-Parts for my Prius (because the Toyota dealer in the area is outrageous): HID capsule, some LED lights, and a PCV valve
-Powerspec Ultra 3D printer and accessories: PVA and PLA filaments, PVA glue stick, scrapers
-a 50k mAh battery pack (got tired of worrying about my laptop dying)
-games: Overwatch, Battlefield 1

Samsung EVO 850 500GB SSD for $129.

I'm not sure how much difference there is between the SSD brands like Samsung, Crucial, Sandisk etc but they were all seemed to be priced relatively the same for that amount of storage. I had a 120GB SSD from Intel before that erased all my data due to a firmware problem (the "8 MB" bug), but I'm back to trying SSD again for my laptop.

ECHOMAN: Despite all odds Samsung does make one good product, and it's SSDs. So you did good there.

Their batteries and home appliances explode, and their software/firmware is buggy and unsecured. But their silicon is generally good.

unless it's "smart", in which case it's a glitchy piece of trash that has a hot mic sending an unencrypted recording of everything you say to Korea. But yes, like other Samsung silicon devices, their panels are good.

Picked one up during a thanksgiving sale. I've mostly used it to play Knights of the Old Republic, though now that finals are over I hope to have more time to experiment with button layouts for other games normally unfriendly with controls, or just see if I can implement it for digital painting just for the heck of it.

https://www.xils-lab.com/pages/miniSyn'X.html - 59 EUR

Regretted it almost immediately (it's not exactly bad, but it didn't have the strings that I was looking for - for once the Internet was right about something!), so I decided to balance it off with something that I might find more useful at some point:
https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/snowy-mountains-landscape - 17.54 EUR

Meh.
