$400, which isn't bad considering it replaces two HD DVRs that cost $35 a month to rent from Comcast in my house (the cable card it uses is free).

Since I posted in that lurkers' thread, I may as well continue the streak...

To replace my HD 3870:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908

And to replace my Phenom II X4 920:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849

I'm more excited about the video card than the CPU since mine is several generations behind. Just ordered them tonight, but I should have them on Wednesday because Newegg has a shipping facility pretty close. It's nice paying for 3-day (or in this case, free 3-day) shipping only to get it the next day.

The processor came with a free copy of Darksiders for PC. Not sure I'd have purchased it separately, but I won't turn away a free copy.

Shoes! I finally have work shoes! I've been wearing boots under pants and calling it a day but no more! I can wear skirts if I so choose! I can still wear pants but have professional looking shoes on! (or still wear my boots if I so choose!) They're cute and they're amazingly comfortable. I am enthralled. It's kind of pathetic, really.

(but they're so comfortable!)

well I don't have a problem with that for casual, but the only boots I have seem a little weird with my work skirts. I wore them together one day and got compliments, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Also, it would have been a problem if I'd kept putting it off into the spring and summer (which sounds silly, but since I've been putting off getting work shoes for a solid 3 months, it's not that ridiculous)

Also - I'm a fancy corporate career woman now! I need me some shoes! :P

Really depends on the boots and skirts. I have a couple coworkers who mix it up fairly regularly and it tends t look nice.

IMHO it generally works best with low boots and a longer skirt. If I'm walking around with just my knees poking out it's pretty unflattering.

@sugarless: Just did the same myself, actually! Got some adorable stitched oxfords a few posts back. It is quite snazzy.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I think you guys should post picture of this boot skirt situation.

Because I'm weird like that.

20 inch Rock River Arms stainless bull barrel in .223 Wylde. Wydle has an advantage over both .223 Rem and 5.556 NATO in that it can safely and accurately chamber both rounds without noticeable loss in pressure or accuracy due to it's wider chamber (for 5.56) and shorter throat (for .223).

That's a pretty good layout. Many single bedroom apartments have only one bathroom, and it's often located in the bedroom, so any guests have to go through the bedroom to use the toilet. That's weak.
2011-02-23, 11:38 AM #1752
Yeah I totally agree with that. Bathroom is pretty good size on top of that. 800sq/ft total in one of the better areas of Columbus, got a great deal on it.
