Based on the benchmarks for the 6-core i7 socket 2011 (IIRC) CPUs, I doubt it. Most applications (read: all games) have a hell of a time even using up the 8 threads.

I know, it would still be cool though.
I demand a geometric increase in multi threading on my processors generation by generation damnit!

Jesus, that roombah looks like it's seen a lot of action, all that carbon scoring and whatnot.

-Anyways, I've gotten a lot since I last posted, but just today I bought a Walmart exclusive six inch Loki and a Transformers Prime Hot Shot at the store with groceries. I've also got SH Figuarts Trunks in the mail.

DrkJedi82, I have an HTC Inspire. Good phone. But be careful with the glass covering the camera lens.. It likes to crack. Had it happen on two different ones. (oddly enough it still takes perfect pictures. but it annoys me to no end.)

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

The new x230 Thinkpad (right) next to the x100e "Thinkpad"

They done away with the recognizable Thinkpad keyboard and replaced with the chiclet style. I assume that's going to turn away some brand loyalists. Got this because I needed a reliable machine for AutoCAD and Solidworks (despite integrated graphics) while I can easily take it on the go.

Just ordered this, with car dock and the bluetooth music adapter (gonna get all kinds of creative using that thing). Also got on a Sprint employee friend plan, so got all of it pretty damn cheap with no contract (and super cheap plan too).

Also had my old G11 Logitech keyboard start to die on me, so I replaced it with a G110. It's taken me a while to adjust (after using the same keyboard for ten years!), but I do like it.

I just got on the Thinkpad bandwagon recently. I didn't think too much about them but I got a fully loaded T420s from work, and it's pretty much amazing. Very robust and durable, and it plays D3 like a champ.

Just spent all my Amazon points for the month and picked these up for free! So, almost like a purchase. It makes paying bills and stupid adult crap way more tolerable if I know I get books out of the deal.

Antony, I love your boots. What are they?

They're Danner Quarry 8" Alloy Toe boots.

http://www.danner.com/boots/quarrytm-alloy-toe-black-work-boots.html

They also come in a few different heights and colors. Like most Danners, they're not very cheap.

EDIT: But hopefully, like my other pair of Danners (which are unfortunately plain toe, hence unsuitable for work), they will be completely god damned indestructible.

EDIT #2: That white stitching is awesome, isn't it?
