o_O

Well, very simply put it's like Duke Nukem 3D made today with more emphasis on the B-movie plot and the space creature parts also draw very heavily on Prey for somewhat understandable reasons (both being 3D Realms games and I think Prey took 11 years to make or so). But those are good things, as well as the fact that they seem to have incorporated all if not most of at least the most visible places and elements of those earlier DNF builds that were never released. THE BAD THING is that there are no savegames (you've got checkpoints instead) yadda yadda console yadda yadda blah.

Anyhow, I got Portal 2 as well to wrap up my "buying games for lotsa euros in summer 2011" binge.

DNF has two weapons and regenerating health.

It took me about 11 hours to beat it. I could write a long review but meh. Anyhow, I wouldn't say it was worth 49.99 euros and it's not worth 49.99 dollars either. Maybe 20.

Probably the greatest doormat of all time:

Also a few books I picked up Wednesday:
- The Algebraist (Iain M Banks) - Frigging amazing scifi, not sure how I didn't already have a copy. This book covers literally billions of years of galactic history.
- Surface Detail (Iain M Banks) - SO excited.
- Kraken (China Mieville)
- Dark Viking (Sandra Hill) - I blame Questionable Content for making me aware this series exists, namely: hilarious time-traveling Viking Navy Seal bodice-rippers. Halfway through it and deeply entertained.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

I just replaced that keyboard. The wire started to fail and there were no fixes I could find.

Yeah, I actually already have a board (ATM), it's just that the bearings and wheels are 5 years old and haven't been taken care of. I bought some Ricta wheels too, so I'm excited. :) Do you skate?

Ah nice. I dabble. I've been trying to get back into shape for it this summer since I just moved somewhere that has non-sucky roads and trails for it. Two years ago I think I picked up the '09 bamboo-deck Loaded Vanguard longboard and gave it some dual-layer Neverwinter wheels for tooling around town.

What's crazy is the Reds I got are actually $12 on Amazon, and with Prime it's a pretty good deal. Bones makes some way expensive bearings (like Swiss and Ceramic), but they're probably not worth the money unless you longboard or skate competitively.
