I'm going to read it soon I think. I read a few reviews of it and it sounds great.

I hope I can finish it sometime as well. It's been midway for about five years so far...

My new (first) granite mortar and pestle. And some waxed twine for craft.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Awesome! I spent hours looking, and obviously made the right choice.

I want that mortar and pestle so badly, but I'm certain if anyone left me alone with it I'd pulverize everything in sight.
I'm just a little boy.

I have a very similar one, it's awesome!

Next time you're in the area we can science this. I'll leave the cottage unprotected again and see if the universe is still standing when I get back home.

And in before Jon'C, obviously I'd only bought the book so I could (INSERT: make myself look sophisticated, **** dead babies, stomp on butterflies, make fun of retarded transvestites, etc.)

You may remember the one called Darth_Xasthur, who annoyed a lot of people until breaking the CamelGamerr's back right about here. What did he do? Start posting a lot less, with those posts being significantly less annoying than the ones in that thread or before that.

Darth_Xasthur learnt what Koobie never will.

Yeah but he just liked pot, he didn't rely upon drugs and booze to make himself semi-functional.

I finished The Crying of Lot 49. It was good. I'd agree that it's very dreamlike and peculiar; it's a good example of an unreliable narrator. Naturally with any Pynchon book, it's worth it to read an essay or two. Dr. Hilarius will stick with me; I was amazed by that character's impact given how little he was on the pages. The last forty pages are pure insanity.

I may need to read this one again since it's been so long. But it is fantastically twisted and unreliable. Also secret assassins in mail route disputes >>>>> Assassin's Creed.

You better already own Lumines because if you don't then you're literally missing the best game on the platform.

I buy more books than I have time for; but, I hope to someday read these. The Greek plays are study material both for Nietzsche and the novel I'm outlining

I'm in the same situation with video games, sadly I know for sure that I'll never even touch the vast majority of them.

(Then again, the only real alternative I'd have used the money on would have been food so I don't actually feel bad about this)

Oh yes, I have a Steam and GOG library with too many unplayed games.

I mean, as great as Fallout 2 is, I don't have the time to play through it or the willpower to deal with ancient interfaces

Not precisely a new purchase, but rather the end results of arting a recent purchase posted earlier (namely the mink skull) into a woodsie wyrm.
