I hate how Android phones only last for about 2 years (after which they won't get any more Android OS updates and will be rendered more vulnerable to h4x), regardless of whether it costs 400 or 1600 euros at launch.

Well, I indeed got one of these https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0192W3HX8/ref=pe_3044161_189395811_TE_SCE_dp_1?language=en_GB - has worked fine so far, even though my main computer unit area has now become quite cabEL-iffic:

I stopped using Amazon.co.uk after the Brexit vote, so it's all about Amazon.de and Amazon.co.jp these days.

Or not, because they changed the location of my closest post office to some dump in the woods and I hate going there, so from now on I just might start getting stuff that's worth getting couriered to my home door instead.

Why does it cost more to have items delivered to your residence? Isn't that normal service?

I will finally arrive in the digital sound age. My old analog receiver just doesn't cut it anymore. Next thing I will buy is a dedicated sub. At the moment I only have a sub that slaves through the front satellites. But it will do for now.

What did you have before? I think the Xperias are quite hackable to run AOSP or LineageOS.

Xperia X Compact is the one I got in 2017 (switched back to using it because the Xperia 10 is kind of a disappointment, I'll just give it to some family member).

According to a quick look, LineageOS doesn't support it and AOSP would require Linuxing. Boh!

Also, they don't sell those Anker hubs in Finland.

Speaking of which, the hub itself seems to work properly (no sudden "rebooting" or anything) now that it's been plugged in to an outlet as well.

Yet on the first day, having the hub connected my computer's normal USB 3 slot with my Bluetooth transmitter connected to the other one resulted in worse BT signal in my bathroom (where the signal has always been worse than in any other room) and kitchen (where the signal has been weakish maybe once a month or so). Same thing took place on the second day, but when I plugged the BT transmitter to the hub itself, the signal actually became better than ever in the aforementioned rooms.

... And on the following days, the signal's been worse than before I started using the hub, but not as bad as on the first 1.5 days of using it.

Oh well, at least the BT transmitter is working 100% properly in the main rooms where it should.

I remember how I had some problems with Bluetooth many years ago. I'm glad things have changed since.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Asus PRIME B350-PLUS
MSI Radeon RX VEGA 56
16 GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM Dual Kit
Logitech M500
CHERRY KC 1000

There are two games included with the processor (The Division 2 and World War Z). I don't care much for the games, but free is free. But in order to claim them I have to:
* Register my claim at my seller.
* Wait for them to manually check the registration and send me a promotion code.
* Register with AMD.
* Enter the promotion code.
* Download and run a Windows-only product verification tool.

Don't know if there are further steps involved as I'm stuck at the last one, as I only have Linux...

A friend of mine wanted to play Division 2, so I picked it up.

I regret it. Possibly the least engaging or fun game I've played in a long time.

Jabra Elite 65t in-ear monitors for 99 €

Ultimately, I'm satisfied with them. In fact, I already got the same model last week (for like 150 €), but I'm gonna need a backup set.

All in all, not bad. I suppose that depends heavily on your circumstances, location, etc. It's good to not be renting anymore. I was starting to really grow tired of feeling that I wasn't in a space I really owned and could alter as my partner and I saw fit. We'd been in the same apartment for 5 years, which is probably a big factor in that feeling. You feel very settled-in after that period of time, but beneath it there's always the fundamental understanding that you're in someone else's property. They're not your boss or your parent, but they're... something. A much happier situation to have a faceless 3rd party mortgage company be my parent & boss now, yahoo!

And dear god, the amount of money I've spent in the last 1.5 months. But yeah, all things considered, it was a good experience and I'm glad we did it.

Had to get one of these https://www.k-rauta.fi/rautakauppa/nokkak%C3%A4rry-ironside-max-200-kg and these https://www.jimms.fi/fi/Product/Show/129296/apcrbc123/apc-apc-replacement-battery-cartridge-123

Oh well, at least they're not UE4 assets (even though in retrospect, I wasn't doing anything out of the FGR ordinary when I was buying tons of them because both TODOA and DXN were also asset flips. Stupid UE4)

Oh, you should've gotten one of those carts with three wheels you can climb stairs with. https://www.amazon.de/Treppenkarre-Ladeschaufel-einklappbar-Hartgummireifen-Befestigungsl%C3%B6cher/dp/B00CYH26SQ/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_60_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=GMX30NRDMMVZ92MV1BV2

I bought one of those because it was just 40 € and renting one was 20 € a day. And it's paid for itself many times over.

[https://i.ibb.co/WPmy4WW/IMG-20190810-005259323.jpg]

not only does it match both my 5 strings really well (the photo throws the color off a bit, the part where it curves over the bass is closer to what it actually looks like) at full length i can hang it low enough to be bumping my knee on the bass... too many straps that have caught my eye are too short
