Craigslist most likely.

Standards are not very popular in the United States. They don't sell well, and in higher displacement classes have a higher chance of being single owner.

That bike has some serious pedigree though. Its related to the bike that killed Triumph, BSA, and Norton in the early 70's.

I need to fix one of my bikes... They're all in pieces.

Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD
My onboard audio was giving me weird problems, so I figured I would spend my "discretionary computer funding" on a sound card, I quite like it.

Cool. Glad you think so. I was looking for a Standard and wasn't interested in anything else. (I'm not ready for a sport bike, dual-sport is just stupid, and a cruiser just seems awkward.) Having ridden it around for the last couple days, it feels really smooth and comfortable at speeds of 65 to 75 mph. Plus there're aftermarket pegs on it, so I can ride it more like a cruiser if I so choose.. (experimenting with it, I'm finding I prefer to have my feet on the original pegs.)

Also, I'm preferring the higher displacement, because it makes it easier to start. I can basically let the clutch out slow and it will start moving. So, as a beginner, I don't have to be super careful about applying the just right amount of gas to move, but not too much that it jumps away from me, and not too little that I kill it.

Most Hondas are like that.

A 234cc Nighthawk will start to roll if you let go of the clutch without dying.

And Dualsports are awesome. I had one a few years ago when it snowed. Made it to work in deep snow when it was negative 10 outside.

Bonus: When I got home at 4am there was no one around to see me jump the library stairs or fly through campus and do doughnuts.

I figure I'd post in this thread for once, as I actually made some purchases that I feel makes the effort worth it: a new TV, wall mount for it, and the Wii U.

My 2012 Mustang GT that puts down ~400 rwhp. Been needing more rubber in the back, finally decided to go through with it. Stock tires are almost worn out so I decided to go ahead and get new wheels and tires, then use the stock wheels for winter tires. Tires themselves are nothing super special, Sumitomo HTR Z IIIs (275/40-19 rear, 245/45-19 front). Decent cheapish summer tire.

That's pretty good. I will soon be posting pics of my 302 once it gets back from the engine shop. After about 4 grand in parts and labor, it should be a hell of a little motor.

That doesn't really change anything. Nintendo made the brilliant decision to just randomly stop making Wiis with Gamecube support, and not even lower the price to compensate. It was pretty BS. Also, the Wii has the ability to play all supporting Gamecube games in 480p, something only the first-year Gamecubes can do (and only with a special component cable that is EXTREMELY hard to find nowadays).

Just sayin'.
2012-12-11, 7:45 AM #2516
more than just first year gamecubes... the DOL-101 didn't come out until 2004... mine is a DOL-001 and i happen to have the cable

the reason it was extremely hard to find was because there was no third party cable and nintendo was always out of stock on their site...
